Chapter 5: Mance's Birthday

Tomorrow is the big day for Mance, he's going to be spoiled.

"Brandon" I said

"Yeah Morris" he said

"It's Mance birthday tomorrow he's turning 2. What should we do?" I asked

"He's only turning 2." he said

"Yeah but I want to spoil him because he's our first and only kid" I said

"I Don't know what to do" he said

"I'm going to get ideas from Brad"

"Mance do you want to come see Uncle Brad with me?" I asked Mance

"Yeah mommy" he said

" we will be back" I told Brandon

I got Mance in his car seat and drove off, I turned into McDonalds Mance haven't eaten all day. I got him a kids meal and after I gave him his kids meal I went to Starbucks and got a coffee it wad only 10:20AM. I got stopped by a red light I turned my head and seen Jessica it's been 2 years since I seen her, I quickly turned my head but she seen me anyways the light turned green and I drove off. I got in Brad's driveway and Jessica was going to Brad's house to, Jessica haven't seen Mance yet this will be her first time.  I took him out his car seat and put him down.

"Mom, who is this lady walking to us?" he asked me

"Come on Mance." I walked away and went in the house.

"UNCLE!!!"Mance yelled and ran to Brad

"How you been bud?" Brad asked

"Good" Mance answered him

"Jessica's here" I told him

I walked to the living room and sat down on the couch."I need help brad" I said "With what?" Jessica said "Sorry but I'm talking to Brad not you" I said "Mommy" Mance ran to me "What Mance?" I asked "Look what toy I got" he said "Cool it Bateman" I said

"You have a son" Jessica said "Yeah I didn't want to tell you cause of what happened. You really broke up the sister thing Jessica" I said "Look I didn't mean to please forgive me" Jessica said

"I want to" I started to cry and Mance hugged me and said "Mommy don't cry it okay. Please stop" He looked up at me. I walked away in the kitchen and brad followed me "Morris. Forgive her, we need our thing back." he said "What thing?" I asked "Our brother and sister thing" he said "I don't know if I can" I said "it's Been 2 years Morris" he said "I know, I want our sister thing back too." I said

I walked up to Jessica and hugged her, She started to cry a little and I had to tell her about Mance. "how old is he?" She asked "One he's turning two tomorrow" I said "He's adorable. How have you and your family been?" She asked "Good but it's better now that I have my sister back" I said

"What did you need help with?" She asked

"Oh With Mance's birthday. Brandon told me not to do anything but he's our first and only for right now and I want to spoil him" I told her

"Go to that one swimming place where we used to go to" she said

"Mance What do you want to do tomorrow?" Jessica asked him

He just looked at her and he looked scared he was shy. "Mance baby this is your aunt it's fine talk to her." I told him he look at her and told her "I always wanted an aunt. What's your name Aunt?" he asked she smiled and said "I'm your aunt Jessica" She said

"Okay big guy What Do you want to do tomorrow?" She asked "I always wanted to go swimming at that one huge place we always drive past it" he told her

"Its that one we used to go to" I told her

My phone rings and it was Brandon "Hello" I said.

"Its 12:30 PM." he said "Yeah so" I said "He needs to take his nap." Brandon said "I think he's fine" I said "Let me talk to him"

"Mance your dad want to talk to you" I handed him the phone "Yeah dad" he said " What you doing?" he asked "Nothing talking to my aunt Jessica why daddy?" he asked "Let me talk to your mom" Mance handed me the phone "Yeah" I said "Jessica's there?" he asked "Yeah why do you care?" I asked him

"Come home now" he yelled through the phone "You been acting like a jerk ever since you got out of the hospital. You purposed to me. I'm not marrying you" I told him "What?" he yelled

"Jessica can you take Mance in the bedroom please" I asked her "Yeah" She said "Why mommy what's going on?" Mance said

"Nothing Baby" I said "I can't take this anymore." I said

"Baby please" he said "No just stop. Me and Mance are going to stay at Brad's for a couple of days" I told him I hung up on him.

I walked to Brad's room and told Mance that he's staying her for a couple of night he said okay and walked to the kitchen and sat down at the kids table. "Mance I'm going to get some stuff for us from the house stay here with Jessica okay" I told him "Mom be careful around dad" he told me "I will talk to you about it later" he added in.

Me and Jessica look at each other, Brad took me to the house "Be quick and careful" he said. Brandon walked to me and told me to stay I didn't answer him I walked straight in Mance room and got some stuff he needs I went to my room and got stuff I needed. "Will I be able to see him tomorrow?" he asked "Yes of course he's your son too. We are going to the water place we went to before he was born" I kiss him and walked out the door. I got in the car and Brad drove off. "Where to now?" he asked "To your house. I need to get Mance and take him to the store so he can pick out what he wants for tomorrow" I told him "You know it's only 7:10PM" He said "Yeah but he goes to Bed at 9:10PM" I Said, I walked in and I seen Mance on the floor running to me "Mance we are going to the store go get your shoes" I said he came back with his shoes and I put them on him. "You Guys want to come?" I asked "Where to?" Jessica asked me "To the mall so he can pick out stuff for tomorrow" I said "sure".Brad stayed at home, I put Mance In his car seat and I got in the drivers side and buckled up. I drove out the driveway and got stopped at a red light. I played Mance's favorite song and he went to sleep. I took Mance out the car and went to the mall he picked out an outfit and party stuff.

About time when we was done it was 9:30 and he was getting sleepy so we left. I put him back in the car and he fell asleep. I drove in the driveway Brad came out took Mance to the room and put him on the bed. I left the stuff in the car I went in the house and Jessica got in her car and left, I lock the door and went to Bed.

*The Next Day*

I heard Mance crying so I woke up, I got him to stop crying and I went to the kitchen and got him some food I seen Brad was up so I cooked him some breakfast and "Thank You Morris" he said I heard a knock on the door so I opened it and it was Jessica she had a big gift and Mance asked me "When are we going swimming?"

"I have to call your dad to tell him" I said

I picked up my phone and called him

"Hello" he said just waking up

"Hey um we going to the water park in a little. He wants to see you" I said

"Okay I'm getting ready"

"bye love you Brandon" I hung up the phone and got Mance in his swimming trunks. I put him in the car and was packing everything up everybody already knew where to go, Jessica car had her presents in it she had like 5 and Brad had 3 in his car I had 10. I parked the car and got Mance out and I seen him run to Brandon. "Daddy your here" he yelled

"Yeah I came just for you and your mom." he said

"Hey Morris sorry for everything that happened. I love you" Brandon said
