Losing my sanity

The flower sat next to me

And chatted away

She told me how her petals fell out

As we watched my sanity float away

It tumbled clumsily like a bouncy ball

Then disappeared into the air

The flower said goodbye

And left with the hare

I frowned and went inside

Sad to see them leave

I entered to find my demons

Picking away at leaves

They insisted that I joined

But I knew it wasn't fine

I understood the metaphor

The leave was supposed to be my mind

They were secretly mocking me

Finding humor in my destruction

I could already see new scars forming

The blood flowing from my skin as my vein erupted

I skipped up to my room

And slowly shut the door

And then I completely lost it

I then became one with the floor.
