Harry's Secret Sister

The Trip

On the first of September, Renee was at King's Cross with the Malfoy's. She was left in their care by Severus once again. She was walking to platforms 9 and 10 with racist purebloods. Lucius was making rude remarks about the muggles, Narcissa was silently walking next to Renee, and Draco was pulling Renee's hair whenever his parents weren't looking.

"Draco, stop!" Renee told him for the last time.

"And what are you going to do about it?" he answered back. Renee looked at him.

"Are you serious?" she asked. Draco opened his mouth to say something but Cissy interrupted him.

"Both of you, stop bickering." she said as they stopped between platforms 9 and 10.

"Go on, Draco." Lucy said. Draco nodded and got ready to run into the barrier. As he went through the barrier Lucy looked at Renee.

"Go." he said. Renee sighed and ran toward the wall. As she went through, she felt strange. When the feeling was gone, she found herself at platform 9 3/4.

The platform was crowded with kids and wizarding families. Renee got on the Hogwarts Express and went looking for an empty compartment.

When she found a compartment, she put away her trunk and say down. She looked out the window for five minutes until she heard a gentle knock on the glass of the compartment door. Renee looked away from the window and at the door. She smiled as her best friend came in and put his trunk next to her's.

"Hey." she greeted as Jared sat down.

"Hi." he replied. "How was your day with Malfoy?"

"Horrible. Lucy doesn't know how to have fun." Renee answered.

"Of course he doesn't." Jared said. Jared smiled and got a book out of his trunk.

"I read that book before." Renee said. Before she could say another word, Jared covered her mouth with his hand.

"Don't spoil it." he said. "You did that with the last book I read." Renee moved Jared's hand from her mouth.

"I don't spoil things." Renee argued.

"You have a habit." Jared said as, he opened his book.

"Okay. Maybe I've developed a small habit but I don't always spoil book endings."

"Sure." he said and straightened his glasses.

Renee was about to say something when Jared's sister, Emerald, came in.

"Jared, I think you took my wand by mistake." she said. Jared looked through his trunk and took out a wand.

"It is your's. Sorry." he said as he handed Emerald her wand.

"This is your's. Here." Emerald said as she tossed Jared his wand.

"Thanks." he said as he caught it. Emerald looked at Renee and forced a smile.

"Well. Bye." she said and left Renee and Jared.

"I don't think she likes me." Renee said. Jared looked at her.

"Nonsense. My whole family likes you." Jared lied. Emerald didn't really like Renee.

Renee nodded slowly and took out her own book to read. She and Jared read for the rest of the trip.
