I shoot up from my lying position...the same nightmare as last week...and the week before...but...well...it was more of a horrid memory...I look around my room, running a hand through more long, messy hair to get it out of the way of my face before I get tackled back down onto my bed. “Damien! No!”

I hear my grandmother yell to her dog as the large pup licks my face. I push the dog off of me with a small.

“Good morning, Grandma…”

I murmur with a slight sigh as I sit back up again. The older woman smiles gently,

“Good morning,  Sweetheart...your parents are out job searching again, and your grandfather is out on a job, so it’s just the three of us this morning!”

she chirps with a warm smile as she walks over and sits down on the bed, the third party in this situation being my baby brother Harrison. I take a big whiff through my my nose of the breakfast waiting for me in the kitchen. Ever since I started my stay here I at least got more breakfast than a slice of plain, unbuttered, burnt toast as I rushed to the bus stop...as much as I wanted to go home, this was nice...along with being able to see my grandparents everyday...but it wasn’t like I knew anyone here though...suddenly, I’m snapped out of my thoughts by my grandmother’s voice.

“I know you don’t know many people here, so I decided to my parent child paint day.”

While my grandmother beamed at me all I could do was stare at here in shock. The oldest a child could be in that class was 4! Not to mention, I needed to take care of my baby brother! As if she could read my mind my grandmother speaks up again.

“Don’t worry about age, Sweetheart. My teaching assistant and her daughter should be there. And as for taking care of Harry, there are plenty of bean bag chair that people painting aren’t supposed to sit in so he’s safe to sleep there.”

As she fills me in my grandma pulls me up out of bed. I knew she had a private room she taught in so no one would sit on him, this gave me a little bit of reassurance...at least today would have a little bit of something

(I'm sorry to say that I'm not sure how often I'll be updating this, because I don't really have a idea of where this is going and this is just something I'm writing as time goes on, it may take a bit to update. However, I do hope those who will read this, will enjoy. Also, random fun fact, the picture I used is the actual library this is based off of.)
