"Are you kidding me? I can't tell if you're joking or not! They only fed you ground up broccoli every day?" Landon laughed, disbelief and shock in his eyes, but a smile plastered onto his face.
"I'm being one-hundred percent serious! It's like the 'doctors' thought broccoli would cure all us crazies!" Aiden shouted, everyone, turning to see where all the commotion was coming from, disgust and annoyance written all over their smug faces. But to Landon and Aiden, the only thing important was the fact that they were finally together after fourteen long months. Fourteen long months of Aiden being in a psychiatric hospital or as Aiden preferred to call it, 'home to the batshit crazies'. Landon was constantly correcting him and reminding him that that hospital saved Aiden and their relationship.
"Whatever, as much as I don't believe you, I'm just happy that you're here with me," Landon reached over and grabbed Aiden's hand, "finally."
Aiden smiled softly at Landon before pulling him along by his hand,
"We have to hurry! The movie starts in three minutes and there is no way in hell I am missing my chance to see The Shining after being locked up for one-thousand years."
Landon scoffed and quickly caught up with Aiden, quickening his pace and still holding tightly onto his hand.
"One-thousand years? You may be 'crazy' but you're just as much as a drama queen." Landon laughed before Aiden picked up the pace until both boys were racing through the streets of NYC. To anyone standing on the sidelines, it was an odd sight to see. A blonde curly-haired boy being dragged along by a raven-haired boy with dark eyes, the both of them being complete opposites.

Finally, the two reached the theatre's and quickly paid for their tickets before sprinting through the hallways and into theatre 04 where they slowly snuck into their seats, twenty minutes late for the movie. Most people would have been bothered by the fact that they had missed a huge part of The Shining but Landon and Aiden had seen the movie more times than they could remember. When they were twelve, they made it their personal mission to memorize the movie's script by heart, Landon was the wife and Aiden was the father.
Forty-five minutes into the movie a boy about Landon and Aiden's age moved seats, taking the only seat available which was next Landon. The boy politely settled into his seat, putting his arm up on the arm-rest and ever so slightly grazing Landon's arm. Aiden ignored it, taking five deep breaths and focusing back on the movie. Ten minutes later the boy did the same thing. To anyone else, it was a harmless little thing but to Aiden it was everything. He quickly grabbed Landon's hand and squeezed it tightly, his jaw clenched tight.
"Is everything okay?" Landon whispered, his eyes filled with worry and fear, "Is the movie too much?"
Aiden glanced up at the screen to realize the movie was at the scene of Jack Nicholson trying to murder his family. Of course, Landon would be worried about that but Aiden's mind was somewhere completely different.
For the third time, the boy brushed his hand up against Landon's while reaching for the popcorn and something just...snapped.
He's trying to take him away from you.
He wants Landon all to himself.
Protect Landon.
Take back what's yours.
Landon yelped as Aiden quickly reached over him and grabbed the wrist of the guy next to them, squeezing it so tight the boy began to cry out in agony and with one sudden twist, Aiden snapped his wrist. Landon swore he could hear the bones splintering.
