[Mah sweet bby boy Landon above uwu]

--Flashback--

Five twelve-year-old boys sat in a circle in a small camping tent, a flashlight sitting in the middle of them. All five boys wore a Boyscout uniform and their sashes were filled with pins of accomplishment. Timothy had seventeen, Greg had fifteen, Samuel had ten, Liam had four, and Aiden had none. Aiden didn't want to build fires, work together, or even be on this stupid camping trip in the first place. The only reason Aiden was here was that Landon was also attending but now Landon sat in the corner of the tent, alone.

Timothy, Greg, Samuel, and Liam had all agreed that because Landon was eleven that he didn't deserve to be in the circle and that he had to sit out and watch his 'elders'. Of course, Landon had smiled and gone to sit down in the cold corner of the tent, his little face scrunched up as he focused on what his 'elders' were doing.

Aiden didn't like the idea of Landon sitting alone but he also knew Landon wasn't twelve yet and he couldn't sit in the circle so he stayed put and tight-lipped.

"G- guys," Landon whimpered, his knees pulled up to his chest and his curly hair falling into his face.

"What is it youngling?" Timothy scoffed, making Aiden's blood come to a slow boil.

"I'm cold, can- can we make a fire now?" Landon shivered, he looked so helpless and alone in the cold dark corner. Aiden began to stand up but Greg held him down.

"He wants to make a fire Aiden, let him make a fire." Greg snorted, his pudgy blotched face scrunched up, making him look like a wild pig. Aiden tried to push Greg off but the big boy leaned more of his weight onto the skinny frail boy. Aiden began to panic as Timothy, Samuel, and Liam made their way over to Landon and pulled him out of the tent, ignoring Landon's small attempts to defy.

Aiden began to thrash around as he listened to Landon being dragged further and further away into the woods.

"Don't worry, we knew you'd worry about your little boyfriend if he went out into the woods alone so Timothy is gonna take goooood care of him." Greg spat, little drops of saliva falling onto Aiden's face.

"Why are you doing this?" Aiden grunted, still trying to force the fat brat off of him.

"He's the youngest, he needs to learn how to survive." Greg chuckled.

"Survive?"

"Ya' know, fightin' bears, eating berries, fighting Timothy." Greg cackled.

Aiden flinched at the sound of Landon crying out for help. His voice so frail and far away. Where the hell were the camp counselors? Aiden froze when he heard Landon's voice even further away,

"Aiden! Please! I'm scared!" And that was it, Aiden... snapped.

Greg screamed as Aiden rolled out from under him and quickly grabbed him by the neck, squeezing as hard as he could, slamming the pig boy to the ground. Aiden watched as Greg thrashed around, his cries becoming hoarse and quiet and soon he began to grow blue, his eyes rolling to the back of his head and his arms dropping to his sides. Aiden stared at Greg for a moment before rushing out of the tent. There was no time for Aiden to get the counselors.

Landon needed him.

Aiden ran through the woods, small branches scrapping his face and sharp fallen twigs cutting his legs.

"LANDON!" He called out into the darkness, everything was pitch black and Aiden had no idea how he was going to find anything in this condition.

"Aiden!" Landon's voice called out weakly from Aiden's right and he quickly turned, running into the black abyss.

Aiden gasped as he reached a clearing where Landon lay, his blonde hair matted to his face with blood, his bottom lip busted, and his left eye bruised. Aiden's rage grew as he saw Timothy running away through the trees, the faint trail of his light receding into the dark. Aiden had to make a decision in that moment, comfort Landon or hurt Timothy. It probably wasn't smart to make such a decision while blinded with unimaginable rage but Aiden did what he needed to do... what the thing inside him needed to do.

Aiden rushed off after Timothy, ignoring Landon's frail calls for him to come back. Aiden ran as fast as his cut up legs could take him, getting closer and closer to the flashlight and soon Aiden was able to reach out and grab a fistful of hair.

Timothy yelped as Aiden yanked him back by his sandy brown hair and slammed him to the ground. Aiden grabbed Timothy by the neck but the boy quickly scrambled out of his grip and began running again. Aiden almost chased after him until the Timothy dropped. Aiden gasped and ran up to see Timothy laying in a deep ditch, most likely a bear trap.

Timothy whailed out in pain as he attempted to soothe his leg which was twisted under him. To anyone else, the sight of a twelve-year-old boy screaming in a ditch with a broken leg was a horrific sight, but to Aiden, it was pleasant.

Timothy's cries for help were mumbled as Aiden stared down at the boy, expressionless. A rush of something Aiden had never felt before overtook his body and before Aiden knew it, he was walking away from the boy scout with the mangled leg.

--

"Aiden!" Landon cried out as he limped over to the dark-haired boy, "I was so worried! Did you catch him?"

Aiden looked deep into Landon's eyes and something wanted to tell him the truth, but that something was was far too small and weak and Aiden wrapped his arms around Landon,

"He was too fast, I couldn't catch him, I'm sorry Lan."

"It's okay Aiden, I'm just glad you're here, I'm scared."

Aiden looked at the darkness around them, there was no way they would find their way back to camp at this time of night. Aiden grabbed Landon by the hand and blindly searched for a tree, soon finding one and sitting down to rest against it. Aiden pulled Landon down onto his lap as Landon rested his head against Aiden's shoulder. Aiden gently wrapped his arms around Landon and held him as tight as he could. Landon began to shiver, filling Aiden with fear and sorrow.

"I thought they were supposed to be our friends." Landon whimpered. Aiden softly grabbed Landon by his chin and guided his eyes to meet his own.

"All we need are each other Landon, they don't matter. None of them do." And with that, Aiden gently pressed his lips to Landon's before pulling Landon into a hug again and settling against the tree. He smiled as he felt Landon melt into him and relax, it made Aiden happy that Landon hadn't freaked out or pushed him away.

He kissed me back...

Aiden closed his eyes and replayed the sound of Timothy's cries over and over

and over and over and over

and over and over

and over

again...
