ME and James arrived at the old Beacon Hills High School building quicker than I expected. I looked out the window and internally sighed. How many more days until winter break?

After James parked the car I got out and surveyed the campus grounds filled with kids; some old faces, and some new ones. As I was looking over the crowd, I saw Scott riding his bike and pulling into the bicycle parking spots. I sighed in relief, now knowing that Scott was perfectly fine. I smirked a little only because I felt bad; Scott still doesn't have a car so he has to bike here every day. I'm lucky enough to be even sharing a car.

I jogged my way to Scott, hearing all the pens in my bag bouncing around. As I walked over to Scott, a really expensive looking car parked right next to him. Scott saw me as he was taking off his helmet and gave me his signature smile. I smiled back, only to have him get hit in the back from the expensive car's door.

Jackson Whittemore appeared out of the car. Of course this was his; his parents are filthy rich. Scott turned around and glared at him, and I joined. Jackson walked past us, but turned around to rudely say, "Dude. Watch the paint job." Before me or Scott could say something, Jackson was called over by one of his friends. He turned around and continued walking as me and Scott stared at each other in disbelief. Jackson looked back at us and glared at Scott, but looked me up and down with a smirk. I swear I threw up in my mouth a little. I shook my head and said, "Don't worry about him Scott. You already know he's an absolute asshole." Scott nodded his head and pulled me over to the front of the school.

I was about to ask Scott about my phone call yesterday and why he didn't pick up but I never got the chance. Stiles came up behind me, nudged Scott a little, and draped his arm around me. The small action made my heart beat a little faster. "Okay, let's see this thing," Stiles said. I had a puzzled look on my face when Scott lifted up his shirt to reveal a huge piece of gauze taped to the right side of his torso. My eyes widened instantly. "Oh my God Scott what the hell happened?!" I freaked out and stepped towards Scott, Stiles' arm falling off of my shoulders and back to his side. Is this why we couldn't find him in the woods yesterday? Did he get bit by something? I lightly touched the gauze and pulled my hand back, too afraid that I would hurt him even more. Why didn't he tell me he got hurt? And why did Stiles know, yet I didn't?

Stiles made a disgusted face as Scott pulled his shirt back down. I was still in complete shock. Though, what Scott said made me even more shocked. "It was too dark to see much, but I'm pretty sure it was a wolf." I looked at Scott as he pulled his backpack back on. "A wolf? Scott are you kidding me?" I asked as we started walking up to the school doors. "Uh-huh," Scott answered me. "No, not a chance," Stiles disagreed.

"Well I heard a wolf howling," he explained. "No you didn't," Stiles said with a small chuckle. Scott looked at him like he's crazy. "What do you mean no I didn't?" Scott asked. "How do you know what he heard, Stilinski?" I asked completely confused. Stiles stopped in front of the school doors and looked at me and said, "Because California doesn't have wolves, okay? Not in like 60 years." I'm no zoologist so I can't counter Stiles' statement. But who knows, maybe the wolves came back?
