The next day, Cammy woke us up early, she had our chores list ready and waiting. After breakfast, she appeared with handcuffs and a huge smirk on her face. I looked at Justin.
"What?" He raised an eyebrow at me, I moved my eyes and tilled my head to Cammy, hoping his inane brain could catch up."What the fuck is that?" He stepped away from her.
"I thought I made it perfectly clearly yesterday that I would like the two of you to work together. Now, since you are incapable of following orders, I have decided to take matters into my own hands." She swag the handcuffs with her fingers at the same moment I realised what they were for.
"No way!" I moved away from her.
"Yes, way."
"Can someone let me what's going on?" Justin was confused as usual.
"Now," Camy approached me, took my hand which I pulled away.
"Give it!" She ordered, her eyes threatening. I placed my hand in hers and felt the cold metal around my wrists.
"Now your turn," she turned to Justin, who looked appalled.
"This is abuse! No fucking way I am letting you handcuff me to her, I will go insane!"
"Young man if you do not give me your hand right now, I will handcuff Hayley to that chair and you will do all the work by yourself."
"Fine by me,'' I said.
"And both of your will be spending an extra week here!"
"Just give her your hand Justin, before we have to stay here longer!"
"Screw you, Hayley. You don't know what it's like being around you the whole day."
"Oh, like your so fun to be around."
"As a matter of fact I am and I have many people to agree with that statement, you on the other hand-"
"Both of you, shut up!" Camy silenced us. She held out her hand and Justin grumpily gave him hers, she slapped the handcuffs shut and just like that we were stuck together.
"This is for you," Camy handed me the list.
"Paint the barn house, I thought he already did that," I read the paper with only one line going across it.
"I decided I wanted it blue."
Justin opened his mouth to say something but with a single look she shut him up.Walking to the barn house was harder than I ever imagined, Justin always insisted on going a different way and I had to follow since he had more strength. He pulled me around like I was a doll, moveable.
"Could you please stop doing that!" I told him for the fifth time, I had almost fell five times now. He was so vexing!"Whatever you say, killer."
"Stop calling me that!"
We stood at the front of the barn, Justin held the paint and I held the massive brushes. I handed him one once he put the bucket down and we started work.
"This way!" He pulled me, I tripped over the bucket and fell taking him down with me. The ground greeted me with a thunderous slap. My head luckily was saved by Justin's arm, which was not that much less hard that the ground itself.
"What the fuck Hayley?" We both tired to get up and almost fell again in the process.
"You are the one who pulled me! I told you to stop doing that but do you listen? No!"
"Whatever, lets just get this done." He pulled his wrist that was connected to mine up, the metal hurt against my skin. I gave him an annoyed look as I got up I trapped his toes.
"Oops."
"Bitch," he muttered. After an hour of trying to paint in harmony, we had finished half of the left side of the barn.
"I'm thirsty," I told him, the water was inside the barn.
"Okay."
"Let's go."
"Why would I care if you are thirsty or not?"
"I am going to get water whether you come with me or not."
"You do that, killer." I started pulling in to the entrance of the barn, he dropped the paint and stood his ground. Then with all his might he crossed his arms, I went rolling into him.
"Shit!" He cursed, his grabbed my hips saving my fall.My body was pressed against his and his eyes were the same shade of hazel I was always able to melt into. Up close, I could see the golden flecks in the mixing with the brown. He really was beautiful, I thought to myself.
But he had hurt me so many time.Justin let go of my waist, gently, then cleared his throat. Pulling us both back to reality.
"Let's go get your water," was all he said for the rest of the day.
