Barney's was packed full of high schoolers, middle schoolers and their moms all looking for school clothes after they've lived their summer in booty shorts and crop tops.
After we browsed through practically the whole women's section with no luck in an outfit for Luche, we decided to head up north on Madison Avenue to Intermix, a hip trendy boutique.
Abbi had three black Barney's bags on her wrist with her new ballerina slippers, Tory Burch riding boots, Stella Mcartney lace crop top and matching pants, Gucci shades, and a hot pink terry cloth robe.
Kasey had bought a pair of black Palazzo pants, a red bandeau crop top, black riding pants, bow front top, gold mini skirt, and a Chloè sweater dress.
I wasn't as lucky with my finds and came out of there with a pair of studded distressed jeans, a plaid dress, matching Gucci glasses to Abbi's, and a alligator skin purse.
Intermix was bustling with girls all looking for new jeans, tops, and semi formal dresses. Kasey and I went straight to the dress department and started grabbing cute things off the racks and handing them to the bustling sales girl. Abbi decided to look at ombré maxi skirts and colored skinnies.
After me and Kasey had found an array of dresses, we headed to the dressing room to try them on.
"Try on the black lace one first," I yelled to Kasey over my dressing room.
I slipped into a short ombré dress with spaghetti straps and fabric that felt great on me. It started with cream at the top and went to a lavender and then orange. It was by far my favorite!
I stepped out into the store and twirled in the mirror. The dress looked great!
"That looks great on you!" Abbi said while giving the sales lady who nodded in agreement a pair of $300 gray jeans.
Kasey stepped out in a black dress with lace and cap sleeves with sequins on the neckline. She always looked stunning!
"That looks amazing," we both said to each other after checking out the dresses.
"I'll get this one," I said to Abbi's sales lady, "and grab me a pair of those jeans like Abbi, accept with a print. I'm a two." And then I turned back to get the dress off.
Once I was back in my clothes, Abbi was waiting by the doors with her Barney's bags and now two more Intermix bags. I grabbed a lace chiffon mini skirt and a pair of white pumps and swiped my card to meet Abbi at the door.
Kasey had decide on the black dress and a pair of heels to go with it, and off we headed to get back to my building.
