MADISON'S POV

I had completely spaced about Harry when I'd told Luke I'd go to his house after dinner. I felt bad now, but really, what could I have said?

No, Luke. I have to go home to be with my other boyfriend...

Yeah, that'd go over well.

Not long after Harry and Julia left, we headed out ourselves.

Ashton dropped Luke and me off at the Hemmings' house, but not before he could make a few more sexual comments.

"C'mon," Luke grabbed my hand once we'd stepped out of the car.

He led me up the steps to his house and down a long corridor once we were inside.

He pushed open a door at the end and we stepped into what I was now seeing was his bedroom.

It was surprisingly clean for an 18-year-old boy. Two guitars were placed in stands in one corner of the room, a pile of clothes and a desk sat in the others. The bed was half made and his walls were covered in pictures of him and his friends as well as countless bands.

I took the bookshelf full of CDs as a hint this kid really did know his music and bands.

I smiled over at Luke who was now sitting on the end of his bed motioning for me to come and join him.

"I had fun tonight," He murmured lacing his fingers through mine, "Though I could've gone without all of Ashton's smartass comments and jokes."

A small laugh escaped my lips and I could feel Luke watching me out of the corner of my eye.

"Madison? Can I ask you something?" He asked me.

"Of course,"

"Do you... Have... I mean.." He stumbled.

"Luke, you don't have to be afraid to ask me anything. I want to hear what you have to say, no matter how idiotic you may think it is." I told him.

"Are you a virgin?" He asked his face turning red.

I gave him a weird look, "Interesting way to start off the night, but yes Luke. I am."

"I'm sorry Madison... I just wanted to know." He mumbled.

I shrugged it off, "So what did you want to do tonight?"

A smile formed on his lips, "Movie night."

"Movie night?"

"Movie night."

He took my hand again as we left his bedroom and headed down another hallway. The new room we entered appeared to be for entertainment, as it had a giant flat-screen TV and plenty of seating.

***

After countless hours of watching Luke finally turned off the TV.

He crawled back under the blanket we'd been sharing putting an arm around me and pulling so we were as close as possible.

"You know," he began as he fiddled with my hair, "I'm going to be graduating this year."

I nodded, "What are you planning on doing next year?"

He shrugged, "I'm not going to school. That's all I know right now."

"You didn't get into any universities?" I asked. He was actually pretty smart from what I knew, so that was kind of shocking.

He shook his head, "I didn't even apply."

I guess my facial expression clearly showed my confusion as he continued talking.

"I just didn't see the point in it. Nothing really interested me, other than music. Making people happy.. that's what I want to do. And what better way to do that than share my music with the world?"

"So your life plan is 5 Seconds of Summer?" I clarified.

"Seems that way," he sighed, "The boys... Well, they're talented, sure. But I don't know where we're gonna end up. Who's gonna take a chance on some idiot teenage amateurs?"

I'd never heard Luke talk like this. He'd always come off as the carefree calm kid. It never really occurred to me he'd have so much insight bottled up inside.

"I get it, Luke. It's a lot of pressure. But personally, I think you guys just might make it. You've got just as much of a chance as anyone else in this world - so why can't it be you that it happens to?"

He smiled at me, his blue eyes lighting up a little bit.

"You know, Madison Fayes. Asking you out may very well the best thing I've ever done." He told me.

Emotions of happiness and nervousness bubbled up inside me, no one has ever said anything like that to me.

"Thank you," I finally managed to say.

"I just want you to know that if 5 Seconds of Summer does take on the world, you've been my inspiration to make something out of myself. Right here, right now, I'm promising to you that I'll never give up on this, on us."

His words made my heart swell.

But then it burst.

I was leading him on, I was leading him so deeply. If I were to decide on Harry I'd break him.

And I can't do that to him, to anyone.

But I smiled, "I won't give up on you either Luke. Your dream will come true one day. The world won't know what hit them when you take the stage."
