Kris is the only member who is not originally from Korea. He was actually born in India where he started learning singing during his middle and high school days. He attended a christian school. This boi used to be in a choir.

He won many inter-school and state level competitions while he was there.

He moved to South Korea in 2009 with his mother, and in 2011 he auditioned for BigHit where he was accepted making him the 4th member to join the BTS line up.
He originally auditioned for singing and was selected for it and he was also later assigned to be a part of the rap line along with RM, Suga and J-Hope. I don't know why they did that since his singing voice literally makes me cry tears of gold *insert clips of him singing* but tbh I'm not really complaining since he also a pretty amazing rapper *insert clips of him spitting fireeeeee*
When Kris debuted he got various rude comments because of his dreads that he had during debute and people accused him of cultural appropriation. And later when he got rid of the dreads people made fun of his long hair which made him look feminine, comments saying "why was there a girl in a boy group" also various mean jokes calling him gay. So moral of the story is that haters will hate you for anything cause they don't have a life and want yours. Jokes on them cause Kris does not give a flying fuck and continues to do what ever he wants with his body.
