"Gaara, I hope you don't mind I assigned your new peer's seat next to yours." Mrs.Sutekina spoke.

  Gaara...that's his name.

Gaara looked at me, shooting a dirty look. He sat in the desk next to mine. He didn't look back at me. He prepared his stuff and got organized.

"Looks like Gaara got a new girl." teased the boy who smirked at me before.

"That's hilarious Randy!" Commented the girl next to him.

"Fuck up, Randy." Gaara shot back. Gaara stopped what he was doing and made eye contact with the boy named Randy.

Randy looked like a jock that was full of himself. He had straight, ginger hair, freckles and vivid, green eyes.

"Getting so sensitive, are we now? What the hell is your issue buddy?"

  "Why're you still talking?"

"I can talk whenever I want to pal. Just for once smile,k?" Randy joked.

"Hope you know you're irrelevant in life." Gaara insulted.

"Can we watch our mouths, please! Boys enough, it's too early in the morning for this." Mrs.Sutekina ordered.

"Don't worry Mrs.Sutekina, Gaara will be very careful. He knows what'll happen if he keeps it up with that smart mouth of his." Randy cockily said.

"You're a piece of shit Randy. What are you going to do about it?" Gaara said.

"Man, you're really asking for a beat down." Randy remarked with a smirk. He stood up and started walking up to Gaara's desk.

Some of our peers scrambled to take  their phones out and became excited, others stared and people who just walked in were confused.

This was getting out of hand. I want to do something. Should I try to do something? Should I stay out of this?

Gaara stood up and came up close to Randy. They looked each other in the eyes, Randy was an inch taller and tried to look intimidating. Gaara didn't flinch one bit, but instead just stared at him.

It wasn't just any stare. It was as if his eyes spoke "I don't care".

"I dare you. Do it."Gaara said boldly.

"Boys sit down! You accomplish nothing by fighting! I will write both of you up if you lay hands on each other!" Mrs.Sutekina yelled, going in between the boys.

"You just got your ass saved." Randy taunted. He sat back down and had a smug look on his face. Gaara sat down, he acted as if nothing happened. I heard him exhale and shut his eyes for a moment.

The bell rings, majority of seats are filled in. The only seats that werent taken were in front, back and on the right side of Gaara.

"Christ. Everyone take out their assigned homework from last night. Compare your answers with a partner." Mrs.Sutekina directed, going back to the front of the class.

  "Randy would've definitely won!"

  "Gaara is fearless!"

"If they really fought, I think it would have been a tie."

Nearly everybody was talking about the brief, but intense incident. If they really fought, who would've truly gotten hurt? Both Gaara and Randy looked to be both equally physically tough, without a doubt it would have gotten messy.

"Gaara..." I spoke. Gaara didn't turn to my direction, but I knew he heard me. "Are you okay?" I asked. He nodded and continued to write in a notebook.

I didn't have anything else to say. Did that fight start because of me? Am I the reason why he was getting picked on? Apologizing came to mind.

"I didn't mean to have that guy pick on you because of me. I'm sorry that this happened."

"I don't care, it wasn't your fault so don't worry about it. I hope you know I still don't like you." He said.

I started to feel a bit anxious. It seemed I made a bad first impression towards Gaara.

Ever since I came to this school, everything was off. What was it with the way people acted towards Gaara? They either distant themselves or there are possibly others that even disturb him like Randy.

I already knew more gossip will be made about the two of us.

Although barely knowing Gaara, it did kind of hurt to hear those words.

"I hope you still know I don't like you."

Those words echoed in my head once more. I never thought I would already have someone dislike me.

"I...I see, that's okay I suppose. Can I see the homework that was assigned so that I can see see what we are doing..?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

I was shown the assignment, I examined it and gave it back. We haven't made more contact afterwards.

For the rest of the class we've went over a powerpoint and I was caught up on what unit we were doing. I've caught glimpes of people looking at me or Gaara.

  Especially Randy.

But I knew at least one more time, Gaara looked at me.
