I stood at the entrance to the woods hugging myself as I peered into into inky darkness. I wasn’t cold. No this stretch of woods is creepy. . . even on the cheeriest of days, but  today was by no means a "cheery" day infact its not even light out the sun dipped below the horizon hours ago. It’s strange I can hear crickets chirping, and frogs croaking happily behind me . . . yet not a sound came from the forest in front of me. The few animals that dared to cross this path were wary of lurking here too long; nothing dared to stray in too far always skirting the edges moving swiftly and never looking back.

So you might ask why I'm here standing on the edge of the unknown, wispy tendrils of icy fog billowing out around me snaking its way up and around leaving a petrifying nearly unshakable fear in its wake; when instead I should be at come tucked snugly into my bed and dreaming of my mothers Saturday morning blueberry waffles the answer is simple :

They took something of mine and I intend on getting it back . . No matter what.
