~What Was That?~

"Where is he?" I asked Lexie.

"I don't know......He nev-" She got interrupted by a voice,

"Hey kid, I'm right here!" A voice Yelled from behind. I turned around and saw the Captain. "So you decided to say yes"

"Yeah...." I Said still weary about the decision.

"Well good Well you'll start thisweekandthenyoullbe," He began talking as I was already on his team.

"Wow, slow down. I have some question first" I Said slowing him down.

"Okkaaayyy, well ask me anything" He said crossing his hands together.

"First of all, it's not like you can forget the fact I'm an alien. What are you gonna do about that?" I asked tasing my eyebrows. He stayed silent for a couple of seconds thinking about it. It's like this guy didn't think about it before! I thought surprised, until he finally spoke.

"Well I understand be you are going to be a Drifter, and it's not like your gonna go rouge or anything Sooooo...Do you have a device to control your powers?"

"Nope" I Said making a loud "p" pop when I said that.

"Well in the Drifters we have lots of scientist made to do that so I'll ask and see" he said. "Well is that your only question?"

I thought more before answering. This is my only time to step back. Come on Paige. Let's do this.
"Yeah I'm ready" I Said with a nervous voice.

"Good! Now here take this" He said handing me a something. It was like a pill. It was small and round and didn't smell good at all. I looked confused and kept inspecting it. Is this a device that humans use? I didn't know what the heck it was and I guess the Captain noticed my unsure look and finally spoke.

"Sorry, I guess your new to this" He said with a small laugh, "Just swallow that pill and think of the place you want to go to. In this case think about the DT, The Drifter Tower. Good luck!" He said taking it and disappearing with everyone else following him (including Lexie) except for me.

I looked at the pill one more time and finally brought up the courage to take it. Here goes nothing! I dropped it into my mouth and closed my eyes to imagine the DT. Dt Dt Dt Dt Dt Dt. I said it a thousand times in my head and finally opened my eyes. Right in front of me was the famous and amazing Drifter Tower. It was super tall and had so many windows. It seemed like it had a huge backyard and a lake. On top of the building it had the letters "DT" Big that someone could see it a mile away.

"Oh your here! Thought I had to go back for you kid," Captain Kirk said giving me a hard pat on the back.

Ow! "Yeah" I said rubbing my back. Captain Kirk started walking into the tower with the team following him. He motioned to me to come in and I quickly followed him.

"This here...Is The DRIFTERS TOWER!!!!!" He said with a proud voice. He put his hands up in the hair to show it all off. It was astounding! It was so much better in the inside. It had so much tech and computers inside. There were people experimenting on thing and people training with all types of weapons. There were Sword, Bows, Scythes, guns and so much more!! The Captain looked back at me and checked how I was doing and saw me amazed. It was jaw dropping. No seriously my jaw dropped.

"I know kid. I know" He said with a smile. "Now each of the Drifters have their own room in the tower and yours," He said grabbing a piece of paper out of his pocket, "Is on floor 68"

"How high is this thing!!!!!" I asked with my eyes open all the way.

"Heh! It's 101 floors high kid. Now let's go!" He said walking off to the elevator.

So cool!

We went into the elevator and pressed the button 68. When we finally reached it it was filled with and endless path of door with numbers on it.

"Okay, Soooo Your room number is 55372" he said walking forward and looking at the numbers. When we finally reached my door he gave me a card. "This here is your room key, just put it against the activare and It'll open, try it!" He said. I did exactly what he said and it opened to a beautiful view. My room was like any room but view was a whole different thing.

"It's beautiful isn't" He said putting his arm around me. "I guess you've been through a lot coming from another planet and leaving your friends and family back there huh?"

What he said snapped something in my brain and brought back memories of the past. I began to lose control of my body and pushed The Captain back on a wall with my hands on his neck choking him.

"Don't ever talk about my family or friends" I said glaring him down. The whole team pulled out a gun and was ready to shoot but didn't. The captain put his hand on my shoulder and said,

"You...Can le-let go k-know" He said with a slightly comforting smile. I finally let him go realizing what I just did.

"I-I'm s-so Sorry! I....Di-Did-Didn't me-mean to do th-that!!" I Said beginning to panic. I began to hyperventilate and sweating.

"Hey kid, look I'm okay." He said with a soothing voice, "it's okay know, just breathe" He kept falling until I finally began to breathe normally. After that accident he let me be in my room alone for a bit and said to come down in later to introduce her to everyone. I sat down on the couch and began to feel my eyes heavy and without knowing I closed my eyes and passed out.

Captain POV

I feel bad for the kid. I bet she's been through a lot and she's only 17. I'll have to keep a close eye on her. I thought walking to the elevator. When we reached the bottom I began to look for Dr.Fillmore, a scientists. When I finally found him it seemed like he was working on a new project.

"Dr.Fillmore, how are you doing today" I Said coming closer to him.

"Hey Kirk, what got you here today? A new weapon? Or Ooh!! What about a suit! I would love to make a new suit!" He said. Dr.Fillmore is the most famous scientist in the Drifters Tower and in the whole company. He loved to build and make new experiments.

"Ah I wish, but I got to ask, have you ever come across an alien?" I Said with a big smile. Dr.Fillmore already knew what he was up too. He gasped and started jumping up and down.

"YOU FOUND AN ALIEN!! WHEN WHERE AND HOW?!?!" He asked with his hands in the air. "Can I see her? Can I experiment on her? Is she here? Where is she?!" He began asking million of questions until I finally stopped him.

"Slow down, it's not like she's for sale! She's officially a drifter and is up in her room. What I came to say was that she agreed to enter but the only thing the concerns me is her powers." I Said and Dr.Fillmore smiled with excitement, "Yes I know it cool. Anyway so I was hoping you can make some sort of brace or anything that'll keep her powers in tact for she can be a normal student here to become a Drifter."

"I'll see what I can do" He said nudging his glass back up to his nose,"Besides, I am Dr.Fillmore In flesh" He laughed and smiled.

"Thanks Doc" I said walking away with a slight smile when I heard a loud thud from the other room. I quickly panicked and ran to the room when I froze in fear of what I saw. I immediately got punched and got threw to the wall. Man, what the hell happened now?!

Paige POV

I felt the cold breeze hit me and made me shiver in my sleep. Not later on I stretched my legs and began to wonder what happened. Damn I guess I fell asleep. I immediately stood up and checked the time. Hhmmmm I guess I should start heading down. I began to open the door when I heard a loud noise. What was that?! I knew there was danger so I ran out of my room and headed for the action.
