"Ok everybody gather up!" Nick yells
"What's going on?" I ask I walk out of my bedroom
"Hey" Lauren says meeting my eyes as she walks out of her room which is directly across from mine
"Hey" I smile
"New pajamas?" She laughs
I was wearing a elephant and giraffe two piece, most nights I would sleep in my ex's old pajama pants with a shirt but, last night I decided not to.
"Yeah I needed a change. Like?" I say
"They're great" she laughs
And we just stand there, no words, just staring.
"...what are you guys doing?" Ally asks as she walks out of her bedroom and meets us in the hall
"Nothing stupid, what are you doing?" Lauren blurts walking towards the living room
"Well look who woke up on the wrong side of-" Ally starts to say
"-Shut up, it's 7 in the morning" Lauren interrupts making me laugh
I couldn't help it. Lauren's childish morning behavior had grown on me. I had learned not to speak unless spoken to in regards to Lauren in the mornings and as long as she wasn't yelling at me, her yelling at people for no reason was the funniest shit I'd ever seen.
"Don't laugh, she's not funny" Ally says. "She's rude" she says looking at Lauren
"Blah blah" Lauren mouths as she plops on the couch
"What did you do to Lauren guys?" Nick asks
"I just asked her why she was standing in the hall doing nothing and she yelled at me" Ally says
"Lauren don't yell at Ally" Dinah says
"I don't have time for this shit, what do you want" Lauren says
"Ok.." Nick says. "It's wedding season and you know what that means. We-"
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Lauren interupts
"What?" Nick says
"... I'm going back to sleep" She says as she walks away
"Lauren!" Nick calls out
"What about wedding season?" I ask
"Every year around this time we get a swarm of wedding invitations" Ally says
"Sounds... Fun?" I question
"We pick the wedding that looks like some shit will go down, then we go to that one and watch it all unfold" Nick nods. "Fun." He says
"Not for Lauren" Dinah says
"Is it the whole ex thing?" I ask
"She hates weddings, and the whole concept of love" Dinah says
"Why?" I ask
"Dating a heartless bitch will do that to a person" Nick says
"I feel bad for the next person that falls for her" Ally says
"Hmm" I say
"Oh my gosh! Guys it's that time of the month!" Dinah whisper yells
"Wow, you guys really are close" I say confused
"No!"Dinah says. "It's Lauren and Sophia's road trip month! That's why she's a little bitch this morning"
"Oh" Nick says
"Can't believe we forgot" Ally says
"Road trip month?" I ask
"Yeah, this is the month Lauren and Sophia would pack up their shit and leave without telling anyone" Nick says
"And They'd make it back just in time for whatever wedding we choose" Ally says
"So, why don't we all go on a trip then" I say
"I don't know y/n, it was their thing" Nick says
"So are you guys done talking about me or?" Lauren says as she walks back towards us and in the kitchen
"Lo just come to one wedding with us, it'll be fun" Dinah says
"No Dinah, not gonna happen" she says
"Come on Lo it'll be-... never mind if she doesn't want to go she doesn't want to go" Nick says
"Shut up you sex crazed hoe" Dinah says
"Ouch" Nick laughs
