I quickly ran across houses. Fire surrounded me as I ran for my life. Smoke filled my throat and I was coughing violently. I heard screams in every direction. My feet were pounding against the ground. Tears were streaming from my face. My bones ached in pain from running so long and my clothes were covered in ash. My vision was blurred from my tears as I had just witnessed my parents' deaths. Soldiers were chasing me and were right on my tail. Flames erupted everywhere I went. I ran zig zagged across the dead bodies. I was growing tired and weak. I knew I wasn't going to make it but I didn't give up. Fire nation soldiers were right behind me, they were so close I could here the CLANK of metal from their armor. I stopped running and fell to the ground. Soldiers in red armor surrounded me. I took a long breath before I stomped on the ground. The earth I was standing on rose 20 feet in the air. I laid there, wiped out, tired, weak, and helpless. They were going to get me and then they were going to kill me like they did with my parents. Those monsters are going to kill me in cold blood and there was nothing I could do. I knew my tower that I was standing on was right about to fall. I wiped my tears and looked down. Down, down at the soldiers who wanted me dead. Down my tower was about to collapse. Down, my happy life was buried under the ash. I jumped from my platform knowing that I would probably die from the impact. Knowing that I died because I wanted to and they weren't the ones to take my life away from me. But, no I won't let myself get killed. I started to make contact with the ground but instead of hard ground it was soft and it swallowed me up. I put all my power into one push and I was rocketed out of the ground like a missile, completely unharmed. The rocks around me formed into dust and I bended the dust under my feet and pushed. I was skating on the ground getting further and further away from my village. I was getting further away from my home, my home that was destroyed by the fire nation.
