Chapter 1

I stood at the market place, practicing my earth bending, today I was gonna dual with the Blind Bandit. everybody says she's unbeatable but I think different. It's been 6 years since my family's death. after I barley escaped from the fire nation I went to Omashu, but I quickly left after I was caught stealing. I moves between villages but since they were being controlled by fire nation I didn't stay at one place for too long. I finally found a safe place for now I'm the Earth kingdom but I have no money. I'm hoping to get money for beating the Blind Bandit today and once I do I'll be back on the run. I should get some new clothes for my match. I looked around and found three kids. two of them were obviously water tribe kids but the other one... well I'm not sure. he was a monk, that was clear. he was bald and had blue arrow tattoos. I wasn't sure if they had any money but I was about to find out. "Excuse my do you have any money I could borrow?" I asked in my most innocent voice. the water tribe boy looked like he could care less. the monk look concerned, and the water tribe girl looked worried, she looked at me as if I were dying or something. she looked into her pockets and handed me three copper pieces. the monk looked into his pockets but he only pulled out lint. the water tribe boy was gone in another shop looking at a bag wondering if he should buy it or not. I looked at the two kids and beamed. "thanks!" I said, my voice was no longer innocent and was replaced with a mischievous one. I ran off quickly knowing that they already knew I scammed them. I went to the closest clothing store and picked out a fighter's outfit it wasn't anything special but it was the best thing you could get for three copper pieces. I walked out of the store and started to head to the arena so I could beat the Blind Bandit. Earth bending saved my life and ever since then I practiced and Earth bending became part of me. it was like a part of me and I was a part of it. Along me not to Earth bend would be like asking me not to breathe. I have gone in many fight, matches, and much more and I have never once lost. most benders attack but I defend until they are tired out then I strike. But it's is more than just that I can feel the vibrations in the earth unlike most Earth benders, and I use that to know what's coming my way so I can immediately defend myself. Some of the people I dual with ask me how I beat them so quickly but I never answer. ever since my family's death I usually won't talk to you unless I trust you enough or I'm pulling a scam to get money. I walked between crowds making my way towards the arena but I bumped into someone. I fell backwards but sent the earth under me to push me back up. I looked at the person I ran into to be face to face with the water tribe boy that I tries to scam earlier. my eyes went big as he noticed me bit before be could say anything I made the earth he was standing on shoot up and he a few feet backwards and when he looked back I was gone and already entering the earth tournament.
