Wiping off the tiny peach colored speck that dusted my shining mirror which always showed my flawless complexion, I tried not to let it ruin my day. I am perfect. Remember that, I told myself. The speck didn't fall off but stood in all its glory. That was when I saw a piece of black dirt on my face. Reaching forward to sweep it off and not destroy my just done makeup, I screamed in terror as I realised that it wasn't just dirt.

was the missing piece of skin on my face.
