Hair from my body had weakened, until all of it shed off, leaving me bald, naked and shivering. I had begun to eat less, resulting in tremendous weight loss. I looked like a victim of anorexia. To make matters worse, mean insults from all directions did not die down. I kept myself away from the real world, afraid to let reality show my now ugly and bony self. My knees shook as I made my way to the mirror once again. I tried to scream, but I had no mouth.
My used to be perfect face,
was now fully complete - lips painted cherry red, sharp features, rosy cheeks.
There it was, perfect but not on its wearer's face who presently is faceless.
The mask itself was beautiful.
Just like I was.
