/ˈvenjəns/noun
punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong.—
Zhang Yixing came to his shared apartment with his boyfriend to a sound of someone moaning. He stops dead in his track, raising a dark brow at the sounds that were getting louder. He clutch the phone in his hand a little tighter, growing more and more sure that his hoyfriend is cheating on him.
Eyes getting sharper, he inhales deeply before heading towards their bedroom, the sound of rustled sheets meet his ears. He has his supicions on his boyfriend cheating on him, and he thinks that now — that is going go be proved. He has a feeling he will know the truth. The sickening feeling inside him said so.
He takes a step carefully to peek at the door, making an inch gap just enough for him to see what's happening behind the door. He exhales softly at the sight, for a moment forgot to breathe. He was tempted to throw his phone at his boyfriend and shout at him and just hit him all over, but he's still sane. He won't do that.
He will do something more.
And so he stays, as painful as it is, he decided to stay in place and unlock his phone. Speaking of phone, he remembers how his boyfriend was really busy with his phone this week, giggling and smiling and all. Yixing even walked in on his boyfriend saying 'I love you' to someone whom Yixing doesn't know, but assume to be that guy in their room.
His thumb was shaking a little as he tap the record button, positioning the phone so that they can be seen clearly. And once they were in frame, Yixing looks away and stare at the white wall instead, away from his cheating boyfriend moaning another man's name. Even though he's recording it, he's not going to watch.
No. That's just too painfull.
"H-hey, ugh, y-you. . ." Yixing perks up at the voice of an unfamiliar voice, alerted. "You think Yixing's n-not. . . A-ah! Not. . . here yet?"
Good thing Yixing takes boxing class. But violence is never the answer.
"Don't worry, babe. He won't be here 'till six."
Yeah, well, sike.
Yixing blinks as he tap the button on his screen, ending the video. He continues to stare at the blank wall, mind void of anything. So what should he do now? No way in hell he would sleep on that bed tonight, and no way he will stay here sharing his apartment with his cheating boyfriend who's completely sober. And the funny thing is, they (Yixing and his boyfriend) haven't even do it yet, and they're a couple.
He walks away from the room to go outside, gently closing the door so the busy couple won't be disturbed. He leans on the wall beside his door, chest heaving up and down as his breathing gets shaky and heavy. He was so emotionless when he was inside, but now when he's outside, all of it start to dawn on him.
His boyfriend just cheated on him, for a week.
No. He's not going to cry. That man's not worthy. The universe had it all planned, it was a way to say that he is not the best for him. He hasn't meet his other half yet.
Yeah. Everything's gonna be okay.
He swipes the screen before looking for a certain number, stopping at the names started with the letter K. He taps on the contact and dial it, waiting for his friend to answer. He can see curious eyes looking at him as if wondering if he's locked outside because his key's inside. No, actually he was outside because his boyfriend is doing it with another man in their room in their apartment. At least do it somewhere else if he wanted to cheat. Yixing can't believe he has the guts to do it in their bedroom.
After three rings, fortunately his friend picks up and Yixing was relieved. "Hey," he started.
"Xing Hyung! What's up?" He's comforted at the sound of his friend, and at the same time he wants to cry.
"Can I crash in your place?"
"You know you're always welcome, hyung."
Yixing feels a small smile creeping up his face, he loves how he always there for him with open arms. "I'm on my way to yours."
"I'm buying pizza."
"You really know me, Jongin."
