Not that it stopped him from continuing as soon as he stepped out of the institution' Nova tries to conceal a snort seemingly finding the fact amusing. 'Who else...' she continues and looks around searchingly as if she needed to find a face she recognizes. What a lie. I am pretty sure she knows all their biographies by heart.

'oh! See blonde and brainless flirting with the ugly guy over there – which by the way is her cousin, ew! – Fallon Vanity' The surname catches my attention and I jerk my head around so fast I fear I dislocated my neck.

She looks just like her sister. Blonde and beautiful, with bright blue eyes and a body to die for. Her face is a softer shape but they share the same cute smile and flawless skin. You can tell she is younger than Juliett, but she must be my age which makes me even more self-conscious. I wonder if...

I can imagine. I try my best not to remember a special scenery, and because the double right in front of me doesn't make it any easier to repress I change the topic.

It seems like everyone except for their family knows only half the story and where other people only have a few big secrets the Royals have an entire network.' Suddenly her expression and tone sway and it almost sounds like she is in awe of all this mystery.

'It started a few years ago, when their mother died. It was questionable if it was a medical mistake or suicide, but turned out it was the latter. To the public the reasons for her death are kept private but Ella's father is definitely involved. The Royal Clan is really fucked up. Reed was under suspicion to have killed Callums ex-girlfriend Brooke. Easton was heavy on alcohol and drugs and Hartley caused a car accident that resulted in Sebstian spending quite some time in a coma.'

Her information seemed unorganized, all over the place. And her way of telling me was not bored or taunting but interested and curious, as if she didn't know all of the story and was yearning for that lack in her data to be filled. And I'm not gonna lie: I die to know what happened.

We work our way through the crowd and I learn a lot of scandalous stuff about my "new family". Mostly it's pretty regular. Nothing too big but some of these young adults have committed some serious crimes and gotten away just like that.

'Nova!' an unpleasantly arrogant voice approaches us from behind. Nova beside me rolls her eyes at me and fixes a winning smirk onto her face before we turn around to face a redhead with the most awful taste in lipstick I have ever seen.
