You sigh. "Seems as if he's gone off somewhere, again..."
Walking towards the flight of stairs on the second floor, you pass by Sally, holding her teddy bear as usual. You stop to ask if she may know Jeff's whereabouts.
Before even letting out a peep, Sally stopped as well, holding a small hand up to your face. "I don't know where he is, __________. You can try and ask everybody else, but I'm pretty sure you'd get the same answer."
She then lowered her hand, and turned to you, smiling. "Don't get so worried 'bout him, 'kay? He's a big boy, he can take care of himself!"
She continued on her way to her room, and gently shut the door behind her. You just stood there, your face a light shade of pink.
Sally was the only one to know of your attraction towards Jeff, being that she was the only one who'd listen. Slender Man always had paperwork, and the other boys were just so...boys. And also that Sally was the only other girl besides you in the whole place!
But, you were grateful. Sally is a great friend, and it's been a full three years since you told her, and she hasn't told anybody else! That's all you could ask for.
Finally, making your way down to the first floor, you decide to go over to the bookcases in the living room. Reading some literature would help keep your mind off of him, right?
You pulled out a dusty, light brown book about three inches thick, and looked for the title. Spotting it on the spine of the book in gold lettering, you read as follows:
"1,000 Ways to the Dissection and Examination of Human Corpses"
You immediately put the book back on its respective shelf, and quickly walked away from the bookcase.
M-Maybe reading isn't the BEST way to clear my head right now...you thought.
You then made your way over to the kitchen, deciding that maybe a snack would help lighten your mind. Stepping over to the fruit bowl on the kitchen table, you picked up an apple. Lightly wiping it on your (f/c) long-sleeve shirt, you bit into the fruit, savoring the taste.
"Mmm..." you mumbled. You sat down in one of the chairs surrounding the table. Still munching on the apple, you traced some of the scratches embedded to the old oak-wood table with your right index finger.
Hmmmm...so many scratches...you thought. And yet...they all have a story to them...
CHUNK!!!
"EEEEK!!!!!" you shrieked, and fell back in your chair, onto the linoleum floor of the kitchen.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!!!"
Your cheeks flushed a deep shade of red. There, before you, stood Jeff, who was doubled over, laughing insanely. His knife had stabbed into the table, merely a hair's width of cutting your hand. It was quite sudden!
"Eheh...eheheh...whew, that was good..." Jeff gripped the handle of his beloved knife, and yanked it from the surface of the table. He then peered down at you, still sprawled on the kitchen floor. Raising an eyebrow, he stared into your (e/c) eyes.
"Uh, you gonna get up, or what?" he asked, a tinge of humor in his voice.
You snapped back to reality. "Uh...!"
Quickly, you stood, and was about to make a dash for it, 'till an arm wrapped firmly around your waist, snatching you back. A small cry escaped your lips.
"Be quiet!" Jeff ordered.
You immediately shut up.
So, you just stood there, trapped against his chest, with his arm still round your waist. The blush on your face right now would put any tomato to shame.....
