Our Complicating Forever

Chapter 8

A few days passed and now it's March 27, 2014. It was a Thursday so everyone had work and school. Today is pretty sunny and kind of windy. It's finally 3:00 pm and Jenus and all the other kids should be getting out of school.

*Kaylan's pov*

I'm on the bus to go home, and I can't wait to get there and text Jenus. Well our bus doesn't drop me off at my house it drops me off at a high school. So, when I got to the high school my aunt was already there. I jumped in her truck and went home.
I noticed my mom was home early, which hardly ever happens. I go up to her car and ask why she was home so early and she said that she had to talk to me. So I jumped in the car, and she started asking me stuff about Jenus. Then after she told me to go get my phone from inside. So I did, wondering why she was asking all of this and why she wanted me to get my phone.
I got back to the car, hoping everything was and would be okay. She tells me that Jenus' mom messaged her saying that his birthday was in three months and that he was turning seventeen. I immediately started crying because I already know what my mom was going to say...
I have to break up with him, that her and my dad talked about it and that it wasn't a good idea to even talk to him anymore... I broke. I cried for hours. I know lame right? But I had technically just gotten my heart ripped out by my own mother.

*Jenus' pov*

I just got home and I can't wait to text Kaylan to see how her day went. Mine was pretty shitty and I know she will make me laugh or smile to make everything all better. I got my phone and texted 'Hey baby how was your day? Mine was pretty bad. Text me when you can.'
She replied and my heart sank to my feet... I couldn't believe what I was reading. 'We have to break up. I'm really sorry Jenus. I love you so much. Please don't hate me. Forever and always -Kaylan Elizabeth...' I messaged her back right after I read it. 'Kaylan, what's going on? Please don't do this to me. I love you so much!'
Her mother replied off of her phone saying 'This is Kaylan's mother. I'm sorry things had to happen this way Jenus. Her father and I didn't know you were about to turn seventeen, and if we did we wouldn't have let y'all two date in the first place. Kaylan falls in love very easily and fast. For some reason she fell in love with you faster and easier than she has with anyone else. I'm sorry I had to do this to y'all but I'm just trying to protect you and Kaylan, she's only 14.'
