Today it was me and Eileen working at the coffee shop. Margaret had off today and was out with some other friends. Eileen and I went table to table. I get a little bit of compliments from people and questions of my markings by others. I don't really answer to them very much. I just let it be and keep doing my job.

Sometimes when there weren't any customers we'd just sit down for a bit and chat. Which, is what we're going right now.

"So, if I tell you something you promise not to tell anyone?" She asked, crossing her arms.

I nodded, "of course, I promise. I always keep my word." I laughed holding up my arm.

"You pinky swear?" She held out her pinky and I sighed. I held out mine and intertwined it with hers.

"Yeah, I pinky swear! Now come on, tell me!" I started getting a little anxious. Eileen seems to have a thing for beating around the bush. Sometimes I feel like she has trust issues. I only think that sometimes.

"Well...you see....uh..." She stuttered an awful lot as she looked around the room.

"Come on. Spit it out," I said, trying to encourage her.

"You know... Rigby, right? Mordecai's friend?"

"Well yeah, of course I know him. He's a cool dude. What about him, though?" I tilted my head, wondering what she has to hide.

"I...I..." She closed her eyes tightly and clenched her shirt.

"You what? Wait, don't tell me you...like him," she gave me this look that said, "yeah I do"with her face beet red.

"Wow, that's great, Eileen. It's been a bit since you actually wanted to get with someone," I nodded my head, giving her a thumps up.

Occasionally, we would have a couple customers and deal with them. Then we'd sit back down and chat some more.

"Oh, I forgot to ask. How was your day off with Mordecai?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"Oh, it was great! We ate so many wings and play a ton on the video games!" I swung my arms around because of all the excitement the memory brings.

"I see. What do you think of Mordecai, hmm?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Well....I..." Huh, I'm a little speechless right now. What do I think of Mordecai? I thought about it for a second.

"Well... he's a pretty nice guy and he's super funny. He has a great personality. Not only th-'" I was cut off by Eileen with a squeal.

"Oh, my God! You like Mordecai, don't you!?" She asked loudly, while pointing her finger at me.

"Woah, woah, woah, let's not go too fair with the accusations, Eileen," I said holding up my hands from her squealing.

"Come on! You act the same way Margaret does!" She covered her mouth and her eyes widened as wide as her glasses, "you heard nothing!"

I gave a confused look but something tugged at my heart.

"Wait, are you saying that... Margaret has feelings for Mordecai?" The way it came out on my tongue made me shiver. Why do I even care?

"Well...I wasn't suppose to say anything...I told her I wouldn't," she looked down. I could tell she felt a little guilty for spilling the beans of one of my best friends, Margaret.

"How...how come she didn't tell me?" I pressed my hand against my chest while my eyebrows furrowed.

"I-I don't know. She never told me that part. I wanted to leave it be," I looked into her eyes and she looked sincere.

I couldn't believe it. Margaret likes Mordecai, but I shouldn't care, right? I don't like Mordecai. Not even the slightest. Then, why do I feel this sort of vinger in my heart?

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)? Hey, (Y/N)?" Eileen's hand was waving in my face and I turned to her and out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked her.

"Are you okay?" She leaned forward, ready to listen to what I had to say.

I shook my head and smiled at her, "I'm fine, Eileen. You worry too much."

She squint her eyes at me to see if I'm really lying or not.

"Oh, alright, but you would let me know if something was wrong, right?" She asked with concern written all over her face.

"Sure, sure." I kept it short and sweet. I stood up and pointed my thumb towards the bathroom, "I need to use the bathroom. I'll be right back."

"O-okay..." I could tell that she wasn't certain so I rushed to the bathroom before she started her questions again.

I shut the door and locked it. I pressed my back against it and stared at myself in the bathroom mirror. The room was cramped. It was a little small but I was only using the unisex so no one else could get in. There's two other bathrooms. One for men and one for women. So, I was able to be alone.

I took my phone out of my pocket to see if I got any notifications and I didn't. The only things on my screen was the time, how much battery I have left, and my lock screen background.

Margaret likes Mordecai?

Oh, my God...

How come she didn't tell me, though?

It can't be because of what Eileen said?

I checked back onto my phone and looked through me and Mordecai's messages. He texted me this morning before I had to go to work. I smiled and sighed. Geez...

I think I'm in love...
