"Margaret are you sure this thing fits?" I asked in a curious tone, checking my backside in the mirror of my new coffee shop uniform.

"Of course it does. It looks nice on you, (Y/N)!" Eileen said with a joyful tone.

Margaret gave the thumbs up and nodded her head, "what Eileen said. You look fine."

I play with my long tail feathers that came through this little hole they cut in the dress for me.

I kept staring in the mirror and sighed a little. I, then, turned to look at my two best friends in the whole world.

"I wanted to thank you girls for getting me this job, though. I really need the money."

They gave me a hug and I hugged them back, happy that I actually got friends like this.

"It was no problem, (Y/N)!" Eileen said, looking at me in the mirror.

"Yeah, what are friends for?" Margaret said.

I smiled brightly at Margaret. She's been my best friend since...forever. We have done just about everything together. She's always been there for me and I will always be there for her.

Eileen is just as good of a friend as Margaret is. I met her about 2 years ago and she's hung out with me and Margaret a bunch of times. She's super nice and pretty chill. She always knows what I like and when I like it.

We're all like three peas in a pod.

"Oh, we should probably get going now. You know how the boss is," Margaret implied.

I nodded and I grabbed my things as we left from my house, got into Margaret's car, and went to work.

When we got there, we rushed to get into the break room and put our jackets on the coat stand. I looked around the quite small room. There was a little bill board with a bunch of papers on it.

Some said..."We should try to never throw our food away. That is a waste of money and..." So on and so forth.

Others said..."THE BIGGEST COMPANIES DAY AT THE PARK!!! Come join us at the park! Where there will be games and all the fun you can have! On September 3, 2019 we'll meet you at the park!"

I tilted my head slightly. Questioning, why they're doing it next year and put up the flier now.

"Do all those posters seem interesting to you, (Y/N)?" The red bird laughed.

I lifted my head up to look at her.

"Nah, I'm just looking around the room and stuff, but one question. Why is this flier out now if the 'party' is next year?"

"Oh, yeah, companies day! I completely forgot about that!" Eileen said happily, "I thought we weren't gonna have one!"

"I know, I thought so too! It's like, the biggest and funniest day of the year! Everybody goes, people from larger companies come! It's so cool!" Margaret responded to Eileen's heap of excitement.

"They have games, movies, partying, pizza..." Eileen started to name a few things.

"Fireworks, pools, horses, and so much more!" Margaret finished off what she said.

"Awesome, sounds super cool!" I said, my eyes lighting up a bit.

"Your dad goes to those. How do you not know about them?" Margaret asked.

I shrugged, "never really try to get into his business. I'm just glad I get free grilled cheese sandwiches and wings!"

"Hey, guys! Hurry up and get out here!" I heard the boss's voice ring through as we saw him coming towards the break room.
