Growing up around the kingdom isn't always the fun down by the river we all enjoy. A lot of the time I am helping my father in the blacksmith shop that he owns. Today is my birthday so I know I will get to see Elizabeth sooner than normal. After work I hurry to the river where we always meet and I wait until I see her finally walking down by the old wooden bridge that old man Jenkins build back when the kingdom was hardly a village ( at least I think I wasn't really around during those times).
"David!" Elizabeth yells as she searches for me. I slowly sneak under the bridge to the opposite side where she will never expect me to be.
"Boo! Haha did I scare you?" I say as I help her back to her feet.I musta scared her real bad cause she slapped me real hard reminding me that she is only a female.
"I'm glad father finally let me come down and see you LAST time we had so much fun!"Elizabeth says standing over the edge of the water searching for tadpoles. I can only tell thats what she is doing when I come splashing by as BOYS do. The sun is now setting and our adventures for the day are coming to an end when suddenly Elizabeth asks "David will you come to my grand party?" I'm not sure what she is talking about but I agree. The air is chilled now as we lay here on the hillside hand in hand as we have several nights before. The sound of the river flowing and the whippoorwills calling takes my conciseness as I dose into a peaceful sleep.
