Ten years ago today...

When life handed him lemons, Bakugou Katsuki tended to react by blowing them up. And it wasn't like he wanted to. He had built up so many walls over the last decade it was all he could do to protect them from falling. Because, it was his fault his kid friend was probably dead. It was his fault his kid friend was going through some type of hell. And it was his fault because he had been putting him through it before he was even taken.

As kids, Bakugou only wanted to protect his friends from the reality that the harsh world was throwing his way. Without a quirk:

"I'm gonna be a hero like All Might! Isn't he the coolest Kaachan?"

He was excited, he was care free. He was ready to face the world without the abilities it required to be handled.

He was gonna get himself killed...

But when Bakugou looked back he realized his method of discouraging this kind of stupid heroism was harsh and hurt more than having a dream shattered. He'd been the one to make Midoriya run away after yelling at him for being a stupid baby. He ran and ran, only he never came back. He still wasn't here even after 10 years.

"You're so mean kaachan!"

Those were his last words before he ran off. Those were his last words ever to Bakugou. And it hurt him to say he deserved it.

Todoroki Shouto was running from his father when he first met Midoriya. And to be honest he never really thought much of him during their mini escapes, one from their father and one from their bully. But when he saw the news that a certain green haired boy with a smile as bright as the sun was missing, he nearly lost it.

"Father... that boy. On the news can't you do anything to find him?" He asked.

His father, the number two hero Endevour or Todoroki Eneji, was a man of little family matter. He was a hero by strength. "What does it matter to you?"

"He's my friend! So you have to find him!" It was the first and only time the small child had raised his voice to his father and had no repercussion. "He likes you as a hero and took lots of notes. So you have to find him." He said and despite hating his father with all his little heart he begged the man who hurt him to save the little boy who made a hero out of the terrible man.

"So this day still haunts us?" He said clicking off the television 15 years later. "I swear I will find you Midoriya. You can't be dead. I won't allow it. You're the only reason I'm becoming a hero."

"One day we're gonna be heros and we'll save the day with a smile. And people will know they're safe. Me and you ok Todo-kun!"

"One day we will Mido-kun. I promise!"

Those words stuck to him like glue. He wasn't going to give up on that dream.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Midoriya had been beaten and scarred and defeated. He'd been held back and scared and passed out. He'd been broken. His smile was long gone. And his hopes were crushed. He lost track of time and time seemed to move without him.

"You're so mean Kaachan!"  He'd run so fast and so hard that day. He hadn't bothered to think. Instead, running farther away than he wanted. It wasn't until he reached a dark street that he realized he was lost. And then he cried harder.

The league found him. His Quirkless seeming self. And when he saw who they were he tried to run. He never wanted to go with them. But even he knew what would happen if he didn't go with them. And so the hero with the little hands and big smile walked into the shadows to save a lot of people.

10 years later the boy was trained in any and most every way to fight. He didn't feel the pain. And he didn't smile. He'd forgotten how to. The reason he wasn't out on the field. He refused to kill. He couldn't take it. He held onto his hopes of being saved one day. He didn't want blood on his hand. But now that he looked back maybe he was crazy. There was no way he could go back. He'd seen too much, knew too much. If he left it was in a casket.

"Deku~ come here!" Toga was kind of like a watchdog for him. They'd been taken around the same time. The only difference was she wanted to be here from the beginning. He was just getting used to calling this home. He cried like a child most times. And often to forget he was there he would act like a child. No one paid it much mind. In fact Dabi, who had a soft spot for young kids, even helped fuel him on. He didn't much like what Shigaraki had done to the kid. And saw this as a chance to help the kids escape and be a kid when he had the chance.

"What do you want Toga?" He asked rolling the sleeves of his button up to his sleeves. The black vest crisp and clean unlike their surroundings. And the gloves on his hands matching. Hiding the scars on his hands that bothered him to look at.

"The boss says he has an assignment for you." She said her usually annoying tone of playfulness, that either bothered him or scared him, gone replaced by a serious tone.

"An assignment? What is it?" He asked standing across from her. "I thought I didn't get assignments yet."

"This is recon. There's a rumor All Might is going to be a teacher at Yueei high school for heroes." She handed him a file. "You're a missing kid with a dream to be a hero. Perfect for the job."

"That was a stupid dream from when I was five. Why should I be a hero now?  I mean look at where that got me. I'm home now. That school would be a prison for me. I don't know how to be normal."

"Then you better get out there. The plan is to get them to take you in as a victim. You'll be put in witness protection. That should get you in the school."

"You want me to go to school. I can't read, write. For crying out loud I'm ten years behind on current events. School would be a hell hole. And what do I say to the people when they asked how I escaped."

"Say we threw you out, act like a child like you always do. Smile to them and say you fought your way out."She turned him a toothy grin. "Shigaraki is hoping you don't fail him. Find All Might and his weakness then report back. Understood?"

"...Understood." His head hanging low he left the room. He couldn't fight against Shigaraki and he didn't want to die. So why not play along with this act.

Hello cinna-readers! This is actually my very first BNHA fan fiction. Some things will be changed. I'll list them here so as no to cause any outbreak or confusion:

So firstly there was a mention of age regression. This is not in it's Kink format. Sorry (You dark and nasty cinna-readers) and not sorry (Here for the good content without the sourness cinna-readers). I based this off of something I do to escape lot's of stress, so it's not random. But I felt it fit so there will be sometimes where Midoriya will start to act childish. If you have a problem don't read.

Next to save some face and a little bit of the difficulties, UA already has a dorm system. And all the rooms have been changed in order to help the story line. Such as Todoroki and Midoriya's room being next to each other.

Lastly for now. This is a TodoDeku book. There will be tons of fluff. And There will be hints of BakuDeku. But this is TODODDEKU!!!

If there's more I'll tell you, BYEEEEE
