Vacation
Stephen wanted to surprise Harley by picking her up in the morning. He was about thirty minutes ahead of when her bus got there usually. He texted her knowing she was up. Hey, I got a surprise for you, but I need you to be ready soon and outside. He looked at it and sent. He could see that she had seen it and looking over, he could see her getting ready by the light coming on in her room. A few minutes later he saw her sneak out the front door with her extra bag for their trip. She looked around and he flashed the lights quickly so she would see him. She saw it and ran over. She put her stuff in the bed of the truck and got in. He smiled and greeted her with a hug and this time, she reluctantly hugged back. "What are you doing here so early?" she questioned him. He smirked and started the truck. "I wanted to show you something before we head to school" he replied. He drove to a place that was quite unfamiliar to Harley. He drove for at least fifteen minutes before he finally pulled up to a treeline and stopped. He jumped out and walked over to the edge of a cliff. He sat down with her doing the same next to him. They sat there for about ten minutes until finally, the sun started to rise, casting a pinkish hue across the sky. She was afraid of heights and so was he, so when she instinctively grabbed his hand, he didn't object. He was happy that she could be comfortable with him. He smiled and they leaned on each other as the sun came up. They looked at each other each one slowly moving closer until finally Harley sighed and kissed him. They both pulled away, a faint blush on both of their cheeks. They both just looked at the sunrise awkwardly until Stephen took her hands and pulled her in to kiss again. They both relaxed and got used to it. They smiled and looked at the time. It was now ten minutes until school started. They were at least thirty minutes away from the school. Stephen had never been so much as late to school, but with Harley, he felt like he had all the time in the world. He felt free and happy. Harley wasn't used to it but was beginning to like it. Stephen decided not to say anything. They would miss school, but hey, what was one day, especially when he was with Harley. They just sat there, holding hands and watching the sunrise. Once the sun was up Stephen stood up, Harley quickly doing the same. "Let's head to the cabin," Stephen said. Harley knew they were missing school, but at the moment, she really didn't care. They both walked over and got in his truck. Stephen held her hand as they drove. They drove down roads lined with palm trees before they got back to the typical woodland trees. He drove them to the cabin his parents had rented him. He pulled into the driveway and they got out. He grabbed all the stuff, giving Harley a key to let her open it. Harley opened the door and stared in shock, it was amazing. Two floors, an indoor pool, and a spa, one bedroom, that was upstairs though. Stephen smiled when he noticed her reaction. He set their stuff down and walked to the couch. A big sixty-inch flatscreen tv sat across from it. He got the remote and put on the music channel. He walked back over to Harley and hugged her. She immediately kissed him "This place is so amazing Stephen. I can't believe you chose to bring me here." He laughed "Of course I would, I'd never want anyone else to share it with. Five days with you. Just us. I still can't believe it myself honestly." They kissed again and went to look at the bedroom. They walked up the stairs and to the bedroom. Opening the door, they found a king size bed which was plenty big enough for both of them. Harley blushed at the thought realizing she would be sleeping with Stephen for the next five nights. It still made her happy though that he had done all of this and invited her. He could see the blush and quickly explained "I kinda planned ahead. Remember how I had a surprise for you? Well, this was it. I did all of this for you" He explained to her and smiled. "You did all of this for me? How did you know I would come with you?" Harley questioned him. Inside, she loved that Stephen had done all of this for her, though she would never admit it. In fact, there were a few things she didn't want to admit right now. One, the happiness she felt towards being with Stephen and having him all to herself. Two, the way she was beginning to have feelings towards Stephen. All her brain was telling her was that she shouldn't feel that way, but maybe that's why she was feeling that way. She was a rebel after all. He could tell something was off about Harley, but he couldn't place exactly what it was. He walked over and laid down in the bed, looking at the roof. She walked over and laid down, cuddling up against him. He smiled and put his arm over her. "I'm so happy to be here with you," He said and laughed as she got up and jumped on him. "Harley, you're squishing me," he said while laughing. She laughed and looked at him. "Tell me why you did this for me, then I'll consider letting you go." Stephen did as he was instructed and smiled "I already told you, but in case you didn't catch it, I've been really wanting to spend time with you as much as possible. This was my way I figured I could" he said. She smiled, satisfied with her teasing and got back down onto the bed next to him again. He smiled and sat up. She took the hint and did the same. He took both of her hands in his. He looked her in the eyes "Harley, I have known you for a while now, and I know how you feel about me.." His voice trailed off for a second as her heart beat faster, did he really know? "I was wondering if maybe you'd like to be my girlfriend?" he asked. She did something she had rarely done before. She cried, he definitely knew. These were tears of happiness though as she nodded her head and kissed him. Stephen was the only one she had ever felt safe and comfortable around. They laid there on the bed, wrapped in each other's arms. They had never been closer. They could be like that all day and it wouldn't bother them at all. Harley leaned against Stephen and he held her there with a happy, loving smile. This was not like them, this was more than had ever happened between them before, but they didn't care who would say anything. Stephen knew his parents probably wouldn't like it at all since they still hated Harley, but he didn't care what they would say. He would be with Harley, no matter who tried to talk against it. Cuddled up in bed, they felt like they had all the time in the world. Although little did they know, on the other side of town, they were being hunted for...
