So, yeah - this is the picture that really inspired me to make this in the first place. I was just scrolling through shipping fan-art and saw this, and admired it for a full minute. (It's okay if it's not that amazing for any of you though)
Something in my brain just clicked, so yeah, I decided to write a combined Soarindash and Flashlight fanfiction right that instant. (albeit an AU Equestria Girls one, since I honestly wouldn't know how to fit this in any of the existing universes - be it EG or FiM) But, okay, not instantly - I had to re-look at it a few times - but the point is, I absolutely fell in love with the drawing and could not forgive myself if I didn't right a fanfic based off of it. I also used parts of it in the cover, so I hope there isn't a problem there.
So, you can thank whoever drew this - I am so bucking sorry, I forgot who they are - for what you're about to read, no matter how good or bad it is. (The quality is just my writing skills tbh XD) Most of the ideas are mine, although I did get some - unexpected - help from a friend. I could've been inspired by other stuff I've read too, so sorry if it went a bit too far. All credit goes to whoever rightfully deserves it.
Pretty sure that short dialogue in the description is from whatever he/she wrote in the description of the original pic. In all honesty, I just tweaked the most part, but the first words or so are from the artist. Thank them again for that. XD
