//Hello everyone!! Now that our heroes' journey is coming to a critical point, and nearing it's end, I would very much appreciate it if everyone who's reading, now more than ever, votes/comments and shares the story around so it can reach more people!! And as always, thank you so much for reading <33 xx

It was a quiet morning, and birds were happily chirping outside. It's now been four days since the storm, and Diego has already slept in the room with Rico two nights in a row. Locke allowed him in after he'd treated and bandaged all of Rico's wounds. Besides, we couldn't keep him away forever. Erica gave me a tray with breakfast for the twins and I headed upstairs. I opened the master bedroom's door and walked in quietly, placing the tray on the bedside table opposite to where the two were sleeping – Rico laying on the bed and Diego sitting on the floor leaning against it, still sleeping. As I turned to leave, I heard a voice I hadn't heard it days – in a soft and low tone that I never expected to hear, "Ella."

I turned back around to face Rico, who was now sitting on the bed, and gasped, though a hand gesture from him kept me from accidentally making a fuss. He spoke again, "Has he been here the whole time?" Rico was referring to Diego, and glanced over at him for a moment before looking back at me, and I nodded, smiling. He glanced over to his side again, "Get Locke."

I nodded again and left the room, carefully closing the door. I headed downstairs to the living room where I found Locke reading the mysterious book on the couch. I approached and bent over just enough to catch his attention. "Rico wants you to go upstairs." He quickly put the book down, but before he could freak out, I added, "He's fine, don't worry. Don't be noisy, though. Diego's still asleep next to him."

Locke nodded and headed upstairs, and I took his place on the couch. I picked up the book and immediately noticed that the pages about CyberGenetics were full of small notes Locke and Erica – but mostly Locke – had been writing. Things like "important room", "search for papers here" and "do not overlook", and a bunch of arrows pointing at various photographs. At the moment, however, I really have no idea just when we're gonna go to this place. It's gonna take Rico a while to recover, so we wouldn't bring him along anyway, but I feel like Locke wants to be around for at least a few more days. We won't leave Rico alone, of course, there'll still be people at the farm, but I guess it's Locke's nurse side refusing to leave his patient. Kind of amusing, if you think about it; that even after all this time, after everything, people like Diego and Locke still revert back to who and to what they were before.

I was so entertained reading the notes that I didn't even notice Erica and Kayla approaching me. "Mornin', Ella", Kayla greeted me and Erica waved with a smile.

I noted that they were wearing each other's shirts and chuckled, "Good morning, girls."

"Where's Locke?" Erica probably saw the book in my hands. "Is he already in the master?"

I nodded. "Rico asked me to send him up when I brought breakfast."

Both Kayla and Erica had the same reaction I did when I heard Rico's voice: they gasped, looked at each other, then back at me. "He's awake?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah, but let him be for now. We have time."

"Of course", they said in unison. "Should I bring ye something?" Erica pointed to the kitchen.

"I already ate, but thanks", I smiled. They smiled back and proceeded to go get breakfast.

I put the book down on the couch and stood up, making my way outside. I stopped at the porch and stretched as I felt the sun warm up my skin. I walked over to the barn, but it was empty except for the horses. "Hmm..." I kept walking and looking around, until I decided to go to the workshop. As soon as I reached the door, Sam came running at my feet, hopping around me. "Oh, hi, Sam! Hi! Energetic as always, aren't you?" I pet him for a minute, and entered the workshop. Lee was standing with their back to the door, and CK was kneeling down near the worktable. "Good morning, guys."
