Chapter 7: Runaway

Leilani-

I've been feeling a little uneasy after I hit Mya. I didn't mean to make her cut herself it's just that I wanted her to not take my favorite stuffie.

-Flashback to yesterday-

Lilith: alright.....okay I'm sorry it won't happen again.

Mommy hangs up the phone and turns to me with the saddest of all faces.

"What's wrong mommy?"

I asked started to feel like something bad has happened.

Lilith: your friend Mya has cut herself and almost ended her life babygirl.

I was in shocked so much that I didn't even notice the tear that streamed down my face.

Mommy quickly wiped it. I backed up away from her and looked at myself in terror and in shock.

Lilith: what's wrong babygirl, come here.

"It's my fault." I whispered as I started running up stairs.

Mommy chased after me calling my name.

I didn't wanna turn back I just ran to my room door and locked it and started crying my eyes out and screaming it's my fault.

Lilith: Babygirl it's not your fault, just open the door sweetheart.

I didn't answer I just went towards the window and climbed out of it leaving mommy talking to a empty nursery.

Lilith:  Babygirl open up right now, if I have to come in there it's gonna be a problem.

I was long gone out the gate and all I ran and ran and ran and didn't look back.

I'm sorry mommy but I can't stay cause what if make you upset and you hurt yourself like Mya did.

Lilith: alright I'm coming in.

Mommy unlocked the door to only find the room empty and the window open.

Lilith-

I opened the door and lei lei wasn't in her room. I looked in the closet under her bed and behind her stuffies.

She wasn't in here then I looked at the window and panicked.

"Sarah!!! Help!!! Start up the car!!!"

I called out to my maid.

Sarah: yes ma'am!" She yelled back up the stairs.

I ran down the stairs and grabbing my coat and lei's favorite stuffie.

I got in the car and began to cry and call out her name.

"Leilani..............Leilani come home sweetheart it's not your fault baby, please come home.

Leilani-

I heard mommy calling my name and I took off into the darkness.

"I'm really sorry mommy but I can't come home." I said to myself while running.

I guess I lost track of where I went cause I ended up in town.

A lot of people where walking and talking. All the pretty street lights where hanging and the Christmas bulbs were hanging lighting up the sidewalk and buildings.

I smiled and started to cry and think about mommy.

I can't go back I won't go back.

I continued to run till I ran into a mysterious alley way.

I sat there and layed down.

"This will be my home for now."

I said to myself closing my eyes.

-End of flashback-

I wake up to a blackening darkness, I didn't know where I was I just know I heard men.

"Who's there? Is someone here?"

I said but I got no reply from none if the men.

Then one of them spoke.

Mysterious man: oh hello kitten I see your awake.

I was scared to answer him.

Mysterious man: you know you really shouldn't be alone little one, especially in alleys.

I started trembling and started calling for my mommy.

"Mommy help me!" I Wimpered and cried.

Then the man grabbed me by my neck and choked me.

Mysterious man: your mommy can't help you, your mine now.

I just cried and cried trying to catch my breath and remove the man's hand from around my neck.

The man finally removed what was covering my eyes and I saw that I was back at mommy's house.

I was relieved that I was back home.

Marlin: Don't do that again little one.

I turned and looked the mystery man was my Butler.

"Marlin? You scared me why you do that?!"

I asked ready to cry again.

Marlin: your mommy told me to I had to find you and scare you so you would come home.

I was so shocked but relieved at the same time.

As I was getting my thoughts together mommy ran out the doors and ran towards me picking me up and kissing me.

Lilith: BABYGIRL!!!! DON'T EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!!!

Mommy said and hugged me tightly. I think I learned my lesson.

I've got a lot of people who love me and I'm not gonna give that all way.

"I'm sorry mommy it won't happen again."

I started to cry as mommy picked me up and took me to her room.

Lilith: I bet your cold.

I nodded my head as she wiped my face and put me on her bed.

"Mommy can I have cuddles."

I plead while making a grabby motion for her to get in the bed with me.

Lilith: sure babygirl.

Mommy got in the bed with me and wrapped her arms around me making me smile and start tearing up again. Don't judge me I know I'm a crybaby.

Mommy and I fell asleep and I dreamed of what would have happened if that man wasn't Marlin.
