The Melt Down

The First Mission

As orion and i continue to lay and think, a siren goes off and startles us both. "Its a mission, we have to go now" Orion says picking up her jacket running out the room. I run after her. Johnny is standing at his podium reciting "we are the runaways and its our duty to save those who need help". As soon as we all sit he begins. "There is a small hospital we found out that are turning people into machines and they no longer have control of themselves. Mainly stragglers trying to find a place to belong. Tonight out mission is to save the newest batch of people picked up. They can still be freed Conor. You are leading this mission, yes you are new but i need to know your potential. Orion you will go with him and four others will be going with you. Watch each other's backs get in and out. No fatalities unless they are absolutely necessary". We all nod and get up. We head out, get in the truck and head over. We don't talk we just think.

As we get to the hospital it is boarded up. We all run into the hospital doors and we find the patients. One girl has the machine on her already, i was able to pull it off an she snapped out of it. I picked her up and set her down. As we gathered everyone i saw one of my men look at me as we exchanged looks. He fell right be ore my eyes. I didst know what had happened to him. I ran to his side. He wasn't moving, i picked him up and made everyone fall out. We yes him in the truck as fast as possible and got the hell outta there.. Orion was trying to find a pulse. But he was injected with something, who knows what it could be. I looked around the truck. And made sure everyone else was okay. And they were, including the girl who had the machine ready attached to her . We pulled up to the complex and thats when it went black.
