"Bye Cass. Don't forget to ooVoo me every Saturday and to text me!!! Oh and make sure you don't forget to write about me and don't leave your guitar everywhere!!!!!" Natalia, my best friend and dorm buddy, cried while wrapping me up in her warm embrace. "Bye Nat I'll miss you bunches and I will try to do my best with the other stuff," I smiled cheekily and let the tears flow down my face.
I grabbed my suitcase and turned to board the plane when Natalia grabbed my hand, " Casstella," she sobbed so choked up that my name came out as a whisper," don't. Don't forget me." At that I dropped my luggage and pulled her into my arms and let her cry into my shirt, while; silent tears of anguish and grief ran down my cheeks it represented an unspoken understanding that forever and always meant forever and always. "Last chance to board flight 366 Raine, Dell. Last chance to board flight 366 Raine, Dell," a speaker overhead annouced. Natalia broke the embrace and helped me grab my luggage. I walked slowly to the gates contemplating my very big move and wondering what Michael's house would look like. Michael is my long-term boyfriend of four months and moved to Raine, Dell a month after he finished college he said that he could get me a record deal which is why I moved out of Nat's and am currently boarding a plane.
As I boarded I looked back to see Natalia. I was hoping that maybe I'd see her pale white hand waving bye or her flaming red hair flowing in the wind as she asked me to stay, but when I looked back Natalia was gone. Another tear slid down my cheek as I said goodbye to Texas and every good thing that was in it.
