Chapter six

After the whole Pearl Harbor attack I went immediately into town and I went there to enlist for the army. They gave me a form to fill out:

Name: Avery Sasha Cool

Age: 20

Height: 6'2

Weight:150 lbs

Sex: female

And so on

Then came the questions:

Do you work out? If so what? yes I run almost everyday

Do you have fighting experience?

depends what you call fighting experience

My eyes scroll down the page and look at every question marking yes or no.

I come to a box that says other and I write I can control elements.

I thought it would be handy for them to know.

I hand it back to him and he motions for me to wait and hands my paper to a man whom i think is the general. I sit down and look at the long line of men. Wow.

I notice though a small skinny man who looks sick in line. I look at him and he looks at me. Then his eyes widen and he looks away. That not unusual my eyes do that to you.

Oh I guess you don't know a thing about me like what I look like.

Oh well I will tell you later.

Steve's POV

I notice a lady sitting on the chair opposite to me in the line. I an hoping that I can get in this time.

She has long black hair pulled into a bun on the top of her head. I try to move my eyes down to see the rest of her but I get stuck on the eyes. They are the coldest blue I have every seen. They seem to glow.

Her skin was a pale color. She reminded me of a snowflake all except her hair. She's actually very beautiful.

She notices me and I look away.

Avery POV

I hear my name being called and turn around and see the general looking pissed.

I hurry over and he motions for me to go in his office I walk over.

I look at the room and pick a chair and stand by it. He come over and sits in his chair and motions for me to do the same

So i sit.

He stares at me for a very long time. Again not unusual because of my eyes.

I stare back at him and he looks away and starts talking.

"Do you think lying is okay. "

His first question surprised me

" Do you think that the army registrations is

A joke"

Again still confused

"Are you so desperate that you will lie to join the war"

I am confused " wait sorry I'm confused I wrote my paper honestly. "

He tries to mock me in a high pitch girls voice" I can control elements"

I look at him with my sassy eyebrows "I don't sound like that"

"That's not the point you lied"

I gape at him" i reject your impraportion of impropriety. I never lie!"

He slammed his hands on his desk"prove it!"

I pull of my gloves and I think of all the possibilities and i make

A mini snowman.

He looks at me "what is that"

"A snowman"

He sits down with his face on his hands.

"🎶do you want to build a snowman🎶"

He glares at me"no!"

He gestures for me to wait and walk outside and talks to a man outside.

I turned my attention to the snowman and I notice it's melting.

"Oh here you go little guy!" and with a wave if my hand a snow cloud reappears and the snowman is back.

I stare and it and I tell him" you have buck teeth you know that? ill name you Bucky then"

It stares at me and I mutter " I am talking to a snowman and I'm signing up for the army maybe I am going crazy. "

The general walks in and opens his mouth to talk before he notices the cloud.

"Bucky was melting. " I say to explain but he just gives me a long look.

"Is that all you can do?" He asks

"No"

he relaxed. "Okay what else?"

I thought about that and said " I can control fire, wind ,water,plants,animals, lightning and obviously snow"

He looks at me" before we accept you we will test you"

I nod but mentally groan. We shake hands as I walk out he asks" is your last name really Cool?"

I smirk" nope that is a lie." And walk away
