Elise P.O.V
I carefully pushed my hoodie sleeves down so that none of the other werewolves would be able to see my wrists.
I mean they could probably smell something burning, and silver but they'd think it was a human, and by now everyones used to that smell on me.
Not long after i'd arrived at the huge high school, which was one of the best in the state. It looked like a castle, which huge double doors, and towers looming at each edge made specifically for the rich werewovles.
And me, well I was practically considered a maid, who still needs education.
"ELISE,' someone screamed pushing me out of my thoughts. Carefully I looked through the empty parking lot, as no one was here yet. "OVER HERE YOU DUMBO," they scream again, this time I spot Lilly my bestfriend waving madly at me beside her red porsche.
"Hey Lilly," I say giving a weak smile but still walk over to her.
Yes my only friend is rich, and popular but she claims to not give a shit about what others think of her. Thus I became her friend, and her my only friend.
"Anna, cheer up, it's your birthday!"
"Do I even have to list why I have reasons to be un-happy?"
"Whatever, I got you a gift!!"
Lilly walks over to her porsche and pulls out a small gift bag with a satin bow.
I open my mouth to protest but she quickley shushes me. "Just take it, you deserve it, and if you don't it means you don't value our friendship," she huffs out shoving it in my arms.
Giving her a genuine smile, I giggle thank her, and open the cute little gift bag. Inside is a photo of us the first night we met in the middle of the forest. Along with the cutest pink rose earing with gold stems, diamonds, and pearls on each one.
She laughs at my exsasperated expression, "I think you deserve them, consider it all those years you helped me even though you suffered more."
Lilly although she was popular always felt alone, and she cut, but she told me that when I came here I was different. That I made her see things diffrerently not just the terrible way she did.
Sobbing lightly I give her a hug "your the best friend anyone could ever have!"
"Thanks chica but lets get in before Mr. Alpha, and Mrs.Fake luna get here."
We walk in arm, in arm talking about what's going on, maybe about Channing Tatum but I won't admit that.
The entrance hall is huge with rooms lining each side, gold chandeliers hanging from the cieling. At the end of the hall was a huge staircase and 2 more hallways extending off towards the classrooms. The whole place was modern, but still looked rustic and expensive.
Normally in the mornings Lilly, and I fit in an hour in the school gym, pool, and sometimes going through the costume trunk for theatre. Today though since I had silver around my wrists I decided to get out my pain, by going to the music room while Lilly went to early morning detention.
She was caught coming back from what she calls "The party of the season." Claiming she regrets nothing, and even accepting all 3 months of early detention.
I wave bye, walking down the long hall while she enters the office at the very beginning of the hall. Sighing, I walk into the music hall which in my opinion is like my dream room. The room itself is pretty big, with music stands, and instruments everywhere but the entire back wall is all windows showing the beautiful garden.
Directly in front of the windows is a pond, and some fruit trees making the scenery look as if it came out of a movie!
Not worried about anyone entering the room, as the entire pack was probably celebrating the alphas birthday I grabbed out a violin.
Before I had left the Bloodstone pack, my father had taught me how to play. Not to brag or anything, but I thought my violin skills were pretty good! My dad was a music teacher so I knew how to play a bunch of intrsuments including the flute, and guitar. I lost my violin when I was rejected so I couldn't play unless it was a day like today
I adjusted the violin, and began to play, Secrets by OneRepublic, one of my absolute favorite songs. It allowed me to get lost in the moment, feeling the harmony wash away all this mornings pain.
Allowing me to feel good about my day again, making me forget that I was rejected, that I didn't belong anywhere, that I had scars all over my body. Only letting me focus on the music, which held secrets or just the plain ugly truth of my life. It descirbed what I went through every day, keeping in tune to the melody I allowed my hands to run off into another song.
The song was called Winner, which is a song that can only be played on a violin. Helping me remember that I was still alive, abused, and broken but still alive.
I stopped suddenly only because I smelled the most amazing scent in the entire world. It smelled like pine, and the woods. "Mate," my almost non-exsistent wolf Faith screamed urging me to get closer to him.
He stopped right in front of the door, allowing me to get lost in his never-ending blue eyes.
It was just me, and the alpha.
