Chapter 1: Leaving

Chloe's POV:
It was currently Friday, and THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL whoo. I was so excited, that me and all the other cheerleaders started tumbling down the hall, ending in a big pyramid. Don't ask me how we do it, it just sorta happens. I walked out the doors with hanna, my best friend. We've known each other since we were 6 years old, as our mothers were both in the same book club. My family was one of the richest in the city along with hanna's. Because I'm the captain of the cheer team and I'm really popular and rich, everyone thinks I'm a spoiled brat and I'm really mean and I bully people, but that's not true. I hate bullies, and i don't care if your rich or not, popular or not, i would still wanna be your friend. "Okay so tell me what you were told today." Hanna said. "Okay, I'm only being honest with you because I love you." I started. "Tell me Chloe." She said. "Well... Amy told me that jasmine told her that Rachel called her and told her that Avery texted her that her boyfriend, Steve, was in the locker room after football practice and he heard Todd say to Carl that he thought Jenna was hot" I finished. "HE SAID THAT??" She shouted. "I know, I couldn't believe it." "OMG! I'm SO gonna kill him." After she said that, Todd, (her boyfriend) Noah, jake and Leo walked over to us. "Hey babe" Noah said, kissing my cheek. "Hey" i said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Did you say Jenna Harris was hot??" Hanna asked Todd. "What. No, who told you that.?" "Chloe did" she said. "Hanna! Way to throw me under the bus!" I said. "Sorry Chlo" she said. "Chloe. Why would you say that??" Todd asked. "Well Amy told me that jasmine told her that Rachel called her that- ugh I'm not explaining it again, just know, people talk Todd." I said annoyed. I never liked Todd. But I had to be nice to him since he was my best friends boyfriend, I just didn't get what she sees in him.
" ready to go babe?" Noah asked. "Huh, What?" I asked. "Daydreaming again?" He asked. "Wha- no of course not, let's go" I said pulling him towards his car. He got a brand new 7 seater sports car for his 17th birthday. Todd left to go with Carl and Henry, two of the guys from the football team. Me and Noah sat on the front, and Leo, Jake and Hanna sat in the back.

Leo's POV:
As school was over, we planned a roadtrip to Cali for the summer. Right now we were over at Chloe's house, trying to get her mother agree to her go. "C'mon mrs Brooks, she'll be perfectly safe with us." Hanna said, trying to convince her. "Okay, you can go" "yesssss" Chloe said excitedly. "On one condition!" Chloe's mother said. We all looked at her. "You get a chaperone." Chaperone? "Who are we gonna get as a chaperone?" I asked. Noah and Jake both looked at each other and said at the same time, "Mr. Harris!"

"Absolutely not!" Mr Harris exclaimed.
"We can see the cave in Oakley." Chloe said.
"So.. when we leaving?" He asked. We all smiled.

The next morning

Noah's POV:
Today we are leaving to go to Cali. I've already picked everyone up except for Chloe so we're driving to her house now. Sitting in the very back of of the car are mr Harris and my father, as he would need to drive my car back to the house when we board the plane. In front of them are Hanna, Jake and Leo and then me and Chloe are on the front.

45 minutes later

Leo's POV:
We just arrived at the airport and it is currently 8:36 and our plane is due at 8:45 so we have to go now. On the plane, Chloe sat by the window, next to her was Noah, next to Noah was Jake, then Hanna , and then next to me was mr. Harris. The plane ride there was quite boring as we had nothing to do but sleep. The plane ride was about 8 hours long and Jake somehow slept the whole way. We all slept for a little except Chloe, she didn't sleep At all and she was still extremely hyperactive, she was literally doing flips outside the airport when we landed. We had 3 months off of school and we were staying in a hotel the whole time. We are going to be spending ALOT of money in the next few months. We got to the hotel and we only had 2 rooms for all 6 of us. One room had a queen sized bed and a 2 singles while the other had 2 Singles. We agreed that Chloe and Hanna would have the queen sized bed as mr. Harris wouldn't let Noah and Chloe to go together. All the guys, including myself, did rock, paper, scissors to see who would share with mr. Harris and who would stay with the girls. Luckily me and Noah got to stay with the girls while Jake had to stay with mr. Harris. I'm happy that it wasn't me staying with him but In a way I feel bad for him.

Hanna's POV:
By the time we all unpacked and ate we were all jet-lagged and ready to go to bed. Leo was first to fall asleep, then Noah and I fell asleep at about 3 am I woke up at about 7:30 am and saw Chloe typing on her phone in the exact same position she was in last night and then I remembered she had insomnia. "Have you been asleep at all?" I asked her still tired. "No, can't sleep, I might just go get ready" she said about to get up. "Chlo, you should try get some sleep" I said. "Han, I'm fine" she and walked off to the bathroom to do her make up.
"What's going on" a voice said from across the room. I looked over and saw Noah sitting up against the headboard. "I'm worried about Chloe." I said. "Why, what's wrong with her?" He asked. "She has insomnia and hasn't slept all night." "She has insomnia?" He asked. "You didn't know?" I asked. "Not a clue" he replied. "I'm sure she'll be okay tho." He said. "Alright, I'm going back to sleep." "Me too"

At 1:30

Chloe's POV:
Hanna woke up at 11 and the boys got up at one and got ready. We were all ready and we were going out for lunch. We went to a nice diner and then went to the beach. I had a huge headache and I was so tired. I kept almost falling over and I was extremely dizzy. She stayed at the beach for a few more hours then went for dinner. For dinner, mr. Harris and Jake got fish and fries, Hanna got a veggie burger and fries, Noah got pasta and I got a light salad with cream on the side. After we finished we went back up to the hotel and got ready for bed. I was wiping my make up off in the bathroom when I felt extremely dizzy and my legs started shaking. Soon enough they gave out and I crashed to the floor with  a thud, then my eyes shut and everything went black.

Hanna's POV:
We were talking with the guys while Chloe was in the bathroom taking her make up off when all of a sudden we heard a thud coming from the bathroom. We called Chloe to see if she was okay but we got no reply. Noah opened the door and we saw her unconscious on the floor with blood on the floor, coming from the back of her head. "GET MR. HARRIS AND CALL AN AMBULANCE." I shouted and Leo ran out. Soon enough the ambulance came and took her to the hospital, Noah and I went with them and mr. Harris said he would meet us there tmr with Leo and Jake.
