A few more months passed. And things had gone according to ADHOC and QUALIA's plans. Fandroid had over 20k subs and Melody was only 10k behind. However, either from bad planning or just odd luck, the rooms where Fandroid and Melody spent downtime were almost perfectly in sight for both of them. And soon, dispite circumstances on company rivaly, Fandroid and Melody began to exchange words. Fandroid would pull a mirror in level of the small window in his room, and with some adjusting, it was leveled with Melody's room across the way. And Melody would do her best to push her mirror to the same level. They even made up their own little secret language so they could talk. However, Melody soon found a loophole. She found that she could hover all the way up to the ventalation system. So, when everyone went home, Melody would sneak her way through the vents and out of the building. She then would hover up to Fandroid's room. Fandroid would then use his claws to jimmy the window open. Soon they were both sneaking out at night to chat, share a story, etc. One night, Melody decided to go into the forrest behind their company buildings. Fandroid was reluctant..
Fandroid: Uhm...w-why must we go here?
Melody: I dunno. Fun?
Fandroid: Fun?! Yeah right.
Melody: *Giggles* BOO! *She knocks him over*
Fandroid: Hey! What the heck.
Melody: *She just smiled and continued on her way*
Fandroid: *He sighed and started to get up when he noticed something* Melody...come here-
Melody: What?
Fandroid: *He began to dig and soon saw something, no....not something. SOMEONE. He gasped and then continued to dig. Soon he saw a face, it was decayed, the skull showing. The skull had broken blue glasses on it.*
Melody: eww.
Fandroid continued to uncover the body. The body also had a blue tattered shirt, a barely noticable belt, dark blue pants and what remained of one sock and one brown shoe. What made this body noticable, was the red bowtie he was wearing....and the ADHOC logo on the shirt.
Fandroid: I wonder what happened to him....
Melody: Murdered?
Fandroid: Maybe.
He then noticed a simmular pile of dirt not too far off. He got up, then wandered over to it. He started to dig. And as expected, he found yet another body. This one was female, she wasn't as decayed as the man was, after some more uncovering, he saw that she was wearing a QUALIA shirt.
Fandroid: Melody....these were employees to both ADHOC and QUALIA.
Melody: I can see that-
Fandroid: But who are they?
He then noticed something more chilling....the skulls, were cut OPEN. And their brains....even after decaying it was very clear that parts were cut out.
Fandroid: W-what the heck happened! This wasn't just a m-murder.
Melody: Do you think....ADHOC and QUALIA are responsible for this?
Fandroid: Maybe...
He also noticed something in the woman's hands, it was a badge. It wasn't a QUALIA badge, it was an ADHOC one. He then remember the woman who'd came into ADHOC a few months ago, demanding to know what happened to some man. He then went over to the male's grave with the badge and sure enough. The man in the grave and the man on the badge were one in the same.
Melody: Hey...what's that?
Fandroid: Huh?
He looked to where Melody was motioning to. He went and picked up something in the bush, it was a cassette player. It was very withered. He read the name on the player: PROPERTY OF NORMAN JAMES DROID
Melody: Who are these people? This is all confusing.
Fandroid: I dunno. But what i do know, is that ADHOC and QUALIA are behind this.
He then turned his attention back to the cassette player, he wondered if it still worked. He pressed the play button. And sure enough, it did.
"-Dressed like a dream your spirits seem to turn about! That sunday shine is a certain sign that you feel as fine as you look! "
Melody: That song....i know i've heard it somewhere before.
Fandroid: Huh, so do i....
He turned the cassette player off. Melody was right, this was all confusing. Two bodies, two companies, a cassette player....it didn't add up.
He then noticed the sky was slowly turning from dark, to a light orange.
Fandroid: Uh oh. We best get back, NOW.
Melody: Agreed!
They made their way back towards ADHOC and QUALIA, but however, what they didn't know was that a little public gathering was being hosted infront of their buildings....
