Dustin’s POV
I sat in the chair next to the cot which held Tiana’s body. I looked at her and sighed deeply. She was gone, dead, no longer living. She wasn’t coming back. Those words kept repeating through my head, reminding me that she was gone. Never to breathe again.
Lando was in the other chair on the other side, just sitting there, eyes closed, his hands clenched into fists. He has been like that for hours, not doing anything. Sheira would pop in for a few seconds before breaking down. This wasn’t going to be easy. Life was going to be a little uneventful with Tia gone. Talia was taking this hard, locking herself in her room, not even Blade could come in. But of everyone, I don’t think anyone is taking it harder than me. I mean, I just met my sister. And now she’s gone.
I watched the clock. It had been at least a few hours since Tia has passed. My head nodded, I was tired, but I couldn’t sleep. For some reason. Talia popped her head in. “Hey Dustin.”
“Yes?” I asked, lifting my head.
“I know my timing is terrible, but wanna fight with lightsabers?” Talia asked, rubbing the back of her head.
I stood up and looked at my sister. “Yeah. Sure.”
Talia and I walked down the hallway and went into an empty storage room. Once in there, I went to the other end of the room, drew my lightsaber and waited for Talia to do the same. She pulled her green one out and got into attack stance. I struck first, going for her legs. She parried my attack and flipped over me, using the clashing lightsabers as a balance point. Then she force pushed me to the other side. I managed to stay on my feet, my hand dragging on the ground to stop myself. i looked up and tried to attack again. I was more or less successful. She almost lost balance trying to block me. Our blades clashed again. Talia looked at me. “Your blade is red.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“We should change that.” She dampened her blade and I fell forward. Lucky for me, I had removed my finger from the ignition button so I didn’t fall on the lightsaber. I got up, and dusted myself off. Talia pulled a crystal from her belt and handed it to me.
“Where did you get that?” I asked, taking the crystal from her. It was a lightsaber crystal. Ever since the Empire’s reign, they’ve been no more than extinct. Where would she have gotten it?
Talia smirked a little. “Oh, you know. The hutts…”
I looked at her. My sister’s friend was insane! “You know you shouldn’t be dealing with them. They’re dangerous and can only lead to disaster.”
Talia rolled her icy blue eyes. “Yeah yeah, I know. Tiana gave me the same lecture. Saying that they could kill me in an instant and that the Empire could too.”
“Well, she was right.” None the less, I disassembled my lightsaber and replaced my sith crystal with the green one. As soon as I ignited it, I felt a wave wash over me. “This is the right one.” Every force sensitive being has a connection with a certain kind of crystal. They allow the handler to have a stronger connection to their weapon.
“Told ya!”
“You never said anything.”
“Either way.”
Just then, Lando, dad (I still don’t know what to call him) came rushing in. “Guys! Get back in there!”
“Why?” Talia asked, her face grim. She obviously didn’t want to see her dead friend.
“She’s alive!”
Yes i know, creepy! how is it so?! lol sorry it's so short, but i had a request *cough cough* Thaliagrace3214 *cough cough* lol. I TOLD U SHE WASNT DEAD!!
