I walked through the hallways of Derry high lazily. My next class was Math and oh how I despised it. I finally arrived at my locker and neatly set my books inside, taking out the the ones I needed carefully. I shut my locker and was now face to face with my amazing boyfriend Keith.

"Hey baby" Keith smiled, pressing a kiss to my lips.

"Hey" I said blushing.

"Ready to go to class?" Keith asked holding out his hand for me to take.

"Yep" I said grinning placing my hand in his.

We walked to class hand in hand happily. I sat in my chair watching as Keith sat down next to me.

"Good morning class" Mrs. Hoover said smiling sweetly at us.

She went through a bunch of boring lectures I could care less about. Finally she gave us our homework and I packed up my things for my next class. Keith and I didn't have Science together so I kissed him goodbye and headed towards my science class.

I walked in and ran to my best friend Bill. "Hey Bill!" I said excitedly. "Hey Eddie" Bill said smiling slightly.

"Are you feeling better I missed you so much while you were gone" I said pouting a little.

Bill laughed. "Yes Eddie I'm feeling much better and I missed you too" he said turning his attention to Mr. Ryan as class started.

Mr. Ryan was a chill teacher and just gave us some worksheets to work on the whole class. I finished all 5 of mine in a matter of 30 minutes. I turned them in and he looked at me smiling a little.

"Eddie Kaspbrak my straight A student" He said not directly to me but mostly to himself.

I just smiled standing a little taller.

"Thanks for using your time wisely I will get these graded and in the progress book by tomorrow" he promised looking back down at the papers he was already grading.

"Thank you sir" I said kindly getting out a book to read for the rest of class.

The bell finally rang signaling that school was out. I sighed happily walking to my locker to get my book bag.

I noticed some girl named Abigail leaning on my locker taking to Keith. I rolled me eyes and walked towards them.

"Abigail do you mind I need to get into my locker" I muttered.

"Chill baby we are just chatting" Keith said grabbing Abigail's hand and moving her over to his locker.

I ignored Keith's response and placed my books inside grabbing my jacket and bag from my locker shutting it.

"Will you walk me home Keithy?" Abigail asked biting her lip.

Keith smirked and nodded his head.

"I thought you promised to walk me home?" I questioned looking at Keith.

"Aww sorry baby, I promise tomorrow I will" Keith said pulling me into a sweet kiss before walking away with Abigail.

I huffed out a sad sigh as I left the school and began walking home. It was winter time and snow covered the ground.

I hated the cold. Once I arrived at my house I noticed a moving truck next door. Nobody has bought that house in ages.

I shrugged it off opening up the door to my house, the door screeching as I did.

"Hey mommy" I said walking into the living room.

"How was school Eddie bear?"

"It was good" I said sliding off my shoes.

"Did you finish all your work?"

"Mhm" I hummed out.

"Good, dinner will be ready in a few hours"

"Ok thanks mommy" I said walking upstairs to my room, shutting the door quietly.

I placed my book bag at the end of my bed and started to remove my school clothes.
I removed my pants first then my shirt staring at myself in the mirror. All I saw was ugliness.

I moved my gaze over to my window, my eyes widening in fear as I saw a person looking through his window into mine. I jumped back, my breathing heavy.

I quickly grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt and out it on.

I went back to my window seeing the stranger was no longer there. I wonder how long they were standing there.

I watched the house suspiciously. Nobody bought that house, everyone who moved into it moved out after day one. My window was right across from one of the rooms windows, I didn't have curtains cause I never had to worry about someone being able to look at me, until now.

I moved away from the window and sat down on my bed, pulling out my phone to text Keith.

Eddie❤️: Hey baby

I sighed turning off my phone. Keith was so amazing to me but lately he's been slowly slagging off which I was upset about.

A few hours later dinner was ready so I went downstairs and ate in silence until i decided to speak up.

"Momma some people moved in next door" I said taking a bite of my chicken.

"Oh really now" Sonia said taking a big gulp of her pop.

"Mhm"

"Well then just remember to stay away ok Eddie, we don't know what kind of germs new people are bringing into Derry"

"I will mommy I promise" I said taking a drink of my water.

"Well you better be off to bed I don't want you to be late tomorrow"

"Ok mamma" I said getting up it was 7:00 pm and that was my bed time. My mom thought if I got a lot of sleep then I will do better in school.

I walked upstairs and got into my bed noticing the room next door had a light on.

I saw a shadow of a figure moving around. I watched for a couple more minutes until the stranger came into view. It was hard to tell what he looked like but what I could tell was he had gorgeous curly black curls that I just wanted to run my hands through.

I watched him for a couple more seconds trying to make out his face. When I couldn't I just sighed laying my head back down and closing my eyes.

It took a while for me to actually fall asleep cause there was only one question on my mind~

Who was that boy next door?
