-you were in an indie band called "(your hometown here) state of mind"
-and you were lucky enough to know calpurnia
-well
-you were kind of friends with them
-you knew finn before anyone
-i mean you guys were dating
-none of your fans knew you were together
-you were on your way to the next venue
-you had no idea if anyone had arrived yet
-you just got yourself ready for having to convince people you were really apart of your band
-walking in with (instrument) in hand, you saw that another group was there
-you notice ayla, you watched her videos and followed her on instagram
-you also notice some boys around her that you've seen before on her instagram
-so naturally, you look for finn
-as you do so your band mates saw you and ran over
-"y/n! i'm glad you could finally make it!"
-you didn't pay her any attention, you were too busy looking for finn
-as soon as you saw the black mop of hair you started running
-just to find out it wasn't finn
-it kinda sucked
-but as soon as you turned to walk away
-you saw finn! he was right behind you laughing at your shock and embarrassment
-after hugging and chatting for a few minutes
-you were scooped away to finish soundcheck
-at the actual concert
-one of the girls from your band invited calpurnia to stay backstage and hang out while the opening band was playing
-naturally you sit talking to finn the entire time
-well not the entire time
-a lot of it was spent dancing with him and your friends
-when the time came to get onstage you tell them to enjoy themselves and have fun
-while in between songs finn came up and asked for the microphone
-"hey guys i just wanted to say that i love y/n so much. oh! and that she's my girlfriend!"
-you gave him such a dirty glare
-but it wasn't that bad because the both of you were wanting to come out and say that you two were dating anyway
-honestly he had great timing
-you were about to start the newest song that you wrote for him
-after the concert
-he had told you that you did great and that he loved his songs
-then he asked you if you would be interested in writing a duet with him
-"of course! but with which band?" "mine i guess, i trust them to find something that works."
-you were fine with that because once it was finished, your band could make their own version of it
