I woke up to the sound of clattering pans. Wondering what it was, I groggily sat up and fumbled for the light switch. Powers out. Tired and grumpy, I grabbed a flashlight and slipped on some sweat pants. I flicked the switch on the light of flash and headed toward the sound which I thought was in the kitchen. As I passed my little sister Sadie's room, I remembered that she and my parents were out for the night.
I was home alone
As I entered the kitchen, I saw an assortment of pots and pans sprawled across the kitchen floor.
Somebody has definetly been in my house.
Right then I heard something crash in my parents room.
I headed toward the sound as quickly as I could, which was pretty slow since I was still shaking off the grogginess sleep had left me with. As I made my way into my parents room I stepped on what felt like glass. I let out a shriek of pain. Bending down to examine what I had stepped on, I heard another crash in my room.
"What the hell is wrong with this guy?"
I mumbled to myself as I walked with a slight limp toward the sound.
"Once I get my hands on this douchebag, he's going to wish he hadn't broken into my house." I thought to myself. Wincing in pain as I put pressure on my foot.
When I finally entered the doorway to my room, I noticed that one of my BMX trophies had been broken.
"You've got to be kidding me."
I heard the back door open and close.
"Well that's just great" I said to myself while slipping on a pair of sneakers "now I have to chase this lunatic outside."
As I stepped out into the backyard, I felt a gust of cold winter air brush past me. I shivered and wished I brought a jacket. I heard crumbling leaves and footsteps leading towards the dog house. I dashed in that direction, glad that the cold air had cured my sleepiness. When I reached the dog house, I checked on spots to see if he was ok. Luckily he was. I think that if you see a giant dalmation glaring at you, you know better than to touch it.
I head something near the ladder leading to my roof. As I jogged over, I saw a silhouette dash away from the edge of the roof. Well now I know I'm definently chasing a person, not some teenage mutant ninja turtle.
When I got onto the roof I shined my light around to see if I could find anything that would lead me to his, or her, location.
I heard a hiss near the skylight and someone cry in pain. The voice sounded a little too deep to be a girls but not yet deep enough to be a grown man. As I headed toward the sound I saw a dark figure jump into the chimney. Who does this guy think he is, Santa Claus?
By now I was extremely frustrated with the situation. I climbed down the ladder thinking to myself that I would probably never catch this person, and as I over dramatically stomped into my house, I accidently bumped Into a light switch.
The white orbs on my ceiling burst into light, temporarily, blinding me with brightness. I squinted my eyes trying to adjust to the light.
It hit me that if all the lights were on it'd be way easier to catch this person. I started turning on all the lights and when I got to sadies room, I flipped the switch, revealing the person I had been chasing all this time, crouching in a corner.
He looked about my age, sixteen or seventeen. He had dark brown choppy hair, and he had a crown on his head.

Well would you look at that, he's chasing a prince.
I wrote this awhile ago and I'm just now going over it and correcting my mistakes. So it might be a little different.
Well honestly, idk about this story. But I got 100 reads without corrections so it must be pretty good.
Thank you all for reading this.
