I don't know what happened to that man after the accident. I never once saw him again. It dawned on me that the man that saved me might have been her husband.
“I got to work, day in and day out I would work on that dress” her voice had gotten somewhat sadder as she spoke “the week before my husband said he would be staying at the palace until the party, security had gotten tighter and said the king asked all guards to be on duty. He told me not to worry and that he would see me at the party. The day of, a carriage arrived to take me I was so excited. I was in awe when we passed the tall golden gates the increased the castle. Like a fairytale I walked up the front stairs and up the winding staircase into the ballroom, flowers draped from the ceiling and the band played elegant music, everyone in fancy gowns and suits, ad the queen and king sat in their thrones holding hands gazing happily at one another, the 2 princes sat at their side. I was so mesmerized by the glittering lights and the glistening jewels that I didn't realize that the laughter of the crowd had turned to mumble and whispering. All eyes had turned to me before I watched the king and queen stand, the room went into an eerie silence. I watched the king take the hand of his queen and started to walk down the stairs. I soon have seen that all eyes had been on me, one by one head started to bow as the king and queen passed, the crowd of people had parted like the red sea. It wasn't until they stood before me when I quickly kneeled, the queen placed her hand on my arm and gently made me rise” she sat down in the chair next to the mirror “your imperial highness the queen Layla vi blood rose, empress of rose, I would like to thank you for this silk, but if I must trouble you would you happen to know where my husband is? I haven't seen him” the queen was silent before she looked at her husband and he waved for a guard to come close, I knew it wasn't my husband he had called his aura was different, I saw his hands, he was carrying a box” ms. ambrose had started to cry and I quickly handed her a handkerchief “the king placed the box in my hands and slowly turned to walk away, I knew what was in the box, the ashes of my husband, the queen held me close as I cry and wailed. With no disrespect to the queen I removed myself from her hold, kneeled and walked away, I spent the last years mourning the loss of my husband, I would never get to hear is I love you, the warmth of this arms, or the smell of his clothes” she wiped her tears and looked up at me, It is true what they say, the most beautiful eyes, have cried a thousand tears. She sighed and leaned back looking out “the depression slowly started to kill me, it wasn't until I realized I could no longer get out of bed that I knew I had to stop or sure enough I would die. I knew he wouldn't have wanted me to die so early not when I was so young” standing up she took out a small sapphire pendant and places it on my neck, “there...a true vision you are, this dress has been locked away for years, I know I will never wear it again, so as a gift I’m giving it to you, don't you dare refuse me Alicia I’ve already thrown your other clothes so now you have to wear it”
