"Jessie! Stop ignoring me! Why have you been like this all week?! Jessie! Please! If I've done something wrong I'm sorry! Just please talk to me!" Rebecca yells down the school hallway, I wince at the sound of her almost crying, but I can't turn around, I have to stay strong.
"Jessie, I'll do anything, just please tell me why you won't talk to me! If it's about Justin or Sarah, I..I'm sorry...Jessie.." Hearing her voice crack and knowing she's close to crying, I run down the hall and hide in the girls bathroom.
"You can do this Jessie," I say, trying to give myself a pep talk, "stay strong, it's only for a few more days, just don't break and talk to her. You can do this Jessie." I feel my eyes starting to water, why am I doing this? She doesn't deserve this..
Hearing someone come in, I quickly wipe my tears away and go to the sinks.
"Why are you doing this to her? What has she done this time?" I hear Rachelle ask.
"It's none of your fucking business. Piss off and go find your gossip elsewhere." I snap, her smirk disappears as she glares at me.
"Well I'm not the only one who wants to know. Somehow you've gotten the whole schools attention with this. Probably because of your best friend screaming down the hall. Or...I guess..now ex best friend. What happened? You guys were so close a few weeks ago, then out of no where, you're acting like she doesn't even exist? That's a bitch move Jessie.." I interrupt her.
"You're one to talk, aren't you the bitch of the school?" I say hostile, no longer wanting to be near her, but she's blocking my only exit.
"That may be, but I'm not as heartless as you, I don't pretend my friends don't exist. And what was she talking about when she said Justin and Sarah? Everyone knows that her and Justin were a thing for over a year, not sure how that concerns you..unless you liked him? And Sarah, poor poor innocent Sarah, how could a girl like her cause such trouble like this?" She says, her smirk back. I feel my tears returning.
"Fuck you! Those two have nothing to do with anything! Justin was hers, always will be, I don't want him, And Sarah, she's far from innocent, but what's going on between Rebecca and I, is only between us. It has nothing to do with anything or anyone else! So just leave me alone!" I'm crying now, and I knew she got what she wanted, her smile and the sparkle in her blue eyes was enough to tell. She flips her long curly blond hair over her shoulder and leaves.
With my back against the wall, I slide so I'm sitting and just cry.

The last bell of the day finally rings and I rush to my locker. I'm just about to leave when I feel someone standing behind me.
"Why are you doing this to her? She hasn't done anything to you." Justin asks as I turn around, looking everywhere but at him.
"Trust me Justin, I don't want to, but I don't have a choice, everything will be easier later, Justin, just promise me one thing." I say, pleading him.
"Why should I do anything for you? All you've done this past week has done nothing but hurt Rebecca. Now, I know that I'm not dating her anymore, but I still care for her, and Jessie, You've caused her to cut again.." He looks at me dead serious.
My eyes go wide, this wasn't supposed to happen, this wasn't part of the plan! I look to the left, for the first time this week I turn to look at her. She's standing at her locker, eyes red from crying, her light brown hair puled up into a pony tail, wearing shorts that have Mickey Mouse on the back pockets, and a bright neon green/yellow sweater with the sleeve rolled up.
I look back at Justin, "Th..that wasn't supposed to happen.." my voice cracking at the end. His eyes soften a little and he scratches the back of his neck.
"Whatever happened, you need to deal with it. For the both of you. I don't want to know about your guy's shit, but of I can help, I will. But you need to fix this Jessie, before it gets to late and there's nothing left for you to fix." He turns away and walks towards Rebecca, giving her a much needed hug, then looks at me. I look away and walk out of the school. Things just got more complicated.
