~Ghost AU kind of?~

TW: Character death?

OC/Character was a newsie/a writer/other occupation and was best friends with Character/OC, until OC/Character died from an unknown cause. Character/OC, who is now sad and maybe angry, wants to do something about their frens death, but nothing is done. A few years later, Character/OC is visiting OC's/Character's grave, looking really sad until they hear OC's/Character's voice say,
"Character/OC? Why are you so sad?"
This makes Character/OC look up and see OC/Character, but as a ghost.
Eventually, OC/Character tells their Fren that they're going to be their guardian ghost, and only Character/OC can see them. As time goes on, Character/OC starts to fall for their ghost best Fren. But how can that happen when others don't know about or can't see OC/Character, as well as OC/Character not being that tangible?
