Hailee Winchester sat in the passenger seat of the Impala with her arms crossed over her chest as she looked out the windshield, wearing a pair of jeans, sneakers, a red t-shirt, and a jean jacket over it. Her bottom lip was partly sticking out because she was pouting in irritation, after she and Sam had gotten into an argument - of which she had lost about an hour ago.
She had overheard a message that Melissa McCall had left him, which stated that the woman had already taken care of everything on her end that would allow Hailee to stay with her aunt and cousin, and go to school and do things that a normal teenager would be doing.
She tried to argue that it's not what she wanted and she couldn't just go on and be normal because they've never been normal. She wanted to stay with him, wanted to find Dean and Castiel, wanted to keep hunting - but then he argued back saying that this is the promise he made with her father after last time.
Which is why she finally just sat back, and eventually moved to lean her elbow on the door so she could lean her chin in her palm and look out the window.
She kept quiet the rest of the ride there, especially when they passed the 'Welcome To Beacon Hills' sign - which caused her lips to pull together, and turn more into a frown, and earned an eyeroll as she just looked forward and away from it.
As many things were going through her head, there was one thing that she almost was nervous about. She was going to be alone and in basically a new place. Not to mention the McCall family didn't know what the Winchesters did, which is also why Sam couldn't tell Melissa what happened - just that something did happen, and Hailee needed a chance at normal.
But at least when she turned 18, she could just go out on her own and hunt.
Even after all the loss and pain she'd been through, hunting was still a part of her. It was in her blood. The family business. She just had to make it through high school.
When they finally pulled up the familiar driveway, Hailee faced forward and leaned forward so that she could look up at the house - while Sam got out and went around to the back seat, where she had one backpack and a duffle bag - which had her only belongings, along with her side bag that was basically the one bag that went with her everywhere.
Hailee had leaned back in the seat with an internal groan, but then Sam knocked on the window before opening the door - causing her to finally unbuckle and get out.
She then closed the door and took her bags, "I still don't like this."
"I know." He gave her the bags, and after a moment, he scratched the back of his neck. "You be safe, alright?"
Hailee looked away as she bit the inside of her cheek, before finally closing her eyes with a sigh - then facing forward, moving to give him a hug - which he almost hesitantly hugged her back, but did so tightly and closed his eyes briefly. Then she pulled back, "You too, Sammy."
