Date Night

"WHOS IDEA WAS THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!"

A young female elf  shouted as she dropped from the tree tops onto the back of a Orc sword first. Nailing him right through the skull.

Laughing a second Elf dropped down from the branches in the middle of the pack that had encircled his partner. He swung out with two swords letting them arc out from his center, slicing down 5 orcs " i do believe it was you dear, you were bored and had wanted to finish off this group that our allies were having a spot of trouble with out in our territory in mirkwood!"

Wiping orc blood and rain from her forehead, the young Elf shot a withering glance to her partner. " That was a Rhetorical question Lance!! No need to remind me!!" She quickly drew a bow and arrow and aimed it past her partners head. "DOWN!!!"

He ducked down quickly and not a moment to soon because the girl let the arrow fly knocking an orc down, sending him careening backwards into his allies. She followed with three more taking out the orcs piled under him then she seemed to almost soar as she lept over the screaming mask below to retrieve her arrows from their corpses.

Rising up he followed her path "Cutting it a bit close there are we Gwendolyn" he flung a small dagger hitting an orc in the forehead who ran screaming towards him. "I knew you were going to be out of the way in time" she smiled and retreated backwards, cutting down orcs left and right as she made her way back towards her partner.

"Did you now?" Lance ran up the tree he was backed against as an orc came close to giving him a pretty scar on his cheek, at that moment Gwen arrived he beheaded the orc at the foot of the tree behind her back and spun around turning himself into a backflipand landed beside her. The orcs had rallied around them and they had their backs to the tree. "Never the less I think it's safe to say we failed this mission, probably should have brought along Wilkey and Jordan too" Gwen chuckled.

Lance pulled Gwen to him so they stood facing each other. The screams and snarls of orcs filled the air around them as rain poured from the skies, dripping down through the tree tops. "Looks like this is the end of the line for us here"

"Oh, I wouldn't say that, Love. Always one for the dramatics it seems"

Gwen smiled up at him, " You know I can't resist a good Movie moment"

"Of course sweetheart."

The sounds of battle around them faded out as the two bent their heads together. Whispering into each others ears. "See you on the other side?"

Lance smiled. "Always"
Gwen titled her head up and let her lips connect with Lance's, kissing him with what strength she had left.

the lovers sharing a sweet moment of passion in the heat of battle as the tide of orcs washed over them...

"Uggggghhhh"
Gwen ripped her headset off and tossed it onto the desktop next to her computer. "We ALMOST had them that time I know it!!"

"Hey I told you we should have waited for back up. You just wanted to charge in swords blazing"

Lance's headset was set down more gently onto the desk as he spun around to face gwen. " but this quest is only active for 24 more hours who knows how long it'll take for Jordan and Wilkey to log in to assist! Assholes arent answering my texts either" she laughed as lance dragged her out of her computer chair and onto his lap.

"Hey, what's one quest out of a few thousand successful campaigns we have run together huh?"

"One?! Mig...fghrbm" whatever retort Gwen had been ready to spit out was quickly silenced by a sweet, slow kiss.

"We will get them next time, I promise"

Lance gently lifted her and himself off of the chair they had entangled themselves in and over to the bed. Quickly shutting the door behind them.

This is probably complete and utter crap considering I've been on painkillers for who knows how long now and I haven't written anything in I don't know how long but I couldn't get this little bug out of my brain once I had it so... enjoy.
