These words written in ink don't mean much if you don't pay attention to the author. If you knew what they were thinking when they wrote it, then maybe it would make sense. Instead of brushing it away like any other piece of scrap. Pay attention to details. The tears soaked into the paper. Altering the original design. Or the spots of plasma giving the artwork color and meaning. But you ignored all the signs. You wonder why they don't talk to you. They're trying to save themselves. While they were burning alive you stood by and doused them in gasoline thinking it was water. Yet you still sit there wondering they never asked for help. The writing doesn't make sense until you've fallen. Once all life loses its purpose. Once you're in the same position they were.
