Goodbye Erik

*colleens pov*

"It doesn't seem like that." It takes all my courage to say that.

He immediately lets go and looks like an innocent worried sad puppy.

"What do you mean ?" He takes my hand.

I look down to our hands because my whole body shivered as he touched me.

"You...you know what happened." A tear rolls down my cheek and I run out of the room to the bathroom.

I lock the door and start crying.

Why is he acting like nothing happened?

I stop sobbing as I hear a few knocks on the door.

"Colleen? What is wrong? Please open the door."

"N...No." I try to answer.

"What did I do? Can I help you? Please open the door so we can talk.....Please."

I hear a few sounds which sound like he's sitting down in front of the door.

I'm sitting here crying the hell out of me on this cold floor in my bathroom since 1 hour.
And of course...my ex almost-boyfriend is still sitting in front of the door.

In silence.

"E...e..erik? " fuck I can't even talk.

"Yes? " he sounds excited that I talk to him.

"I think...it would be better if...you know...if you would .......leave." I can't believe I said that.

The answer is nothing but silence for a minute.

"You're sure?" He asks like he's the most disappointed human in the world.

"I...I think so." I sob.

" well then...b...bye I guess?"

"...Goodbye Erik...." it feels like a goodbye for forever.

He goes off and I start to cry when more

I'm so close to unlock my bathroom door as I hear him coming back.

Ehm why tho?

"Colleen? I have one last thing to say! "He sounds like he's also crying.

"Hm?"

"I'll always love you princess!" He leaves and lefts me with a broken heart.

And who decided to break my heart?
Me....
