Rachel and I immediately go back to our hotel room and I just rush over to my bed and plop down.
I don't know what to think. Should I trust him? Or not?
And as if Rachel could read my mind she sits down next to me.
"Hey. Everything's gonna be alright." She tries to comfort me.
Nice try but it won't work hun.
I roll my eyes. "...sure." I sound annoyed.
"Why don't you just talk to him?" She suggests.
I laugh sarcastically. "Yeah...just to hear more excuses?"
Rachel looks at the ground.
"Think about it." She goes into the bathroom.
I don't knowwww.
Should I call him? Maybe he thinks I don't trust him or that I'm jealous. Well I am... I sound miserable.
-the next day-
I woke up very early because of all the thoughts in my head.
Ok I'm going to be strong and do this!
I take my phone and get out of the room to not wake up Rachel.
I dial his number and build up my courage.
After 30 seconds he answered.
"Hey princess. I'm so glad you called."
He sounds more happy than usual.
Suspicious.
"Hey..." my courage sinks. Damn it!
"Something's wrong?"
"No...Well...I saw you on a big magazine." I literally don't know what to say.
"Really??? That's awesome! " he cheers.
"Yeah...congratulations that you're the new Hollywood couple." I say sarcastically happy.
"What do you mean?" He sounds confused.
"You're the new dream couple and in everyone's mouth."
"Colleen I already told you that there's nothing between me and Alyssa!" He says annoyed.
"And how do you explain this?..." I send him a picture of the arcticle.
Silence for 2 minutes.
"...yes it's true we spend a lot of time together..." my heart drops. " as friends! how often do I have to say that there's nothing between us ?" He sounds sad but annoyed.
"You know I always trust you erik...but I don't trust her."
He takes a deep breath.
"I wouldn't cheat on you colleen! We're not even dating. And I already told you I love you and if that's not enough I don't know what to do to convince you that there's nothing between me and Alyssa."
"...I'm sorry..." I say almost inaudible and before I hang up I hear "it's o..." and the call ends.
That was a bad idea.
