lanes POV
i wake up in the oh so familiar bed, danny's. the sheets warm as always. i roll over to see her fast asleep. i examine her as she sleeps. she's always looked so beautiful and peaceful when she slept. a smile crept on my face, my hand moving to put a strand of hair behind her hair, my finger grazes her soft cheek. i lean down kissing her on the forehead. she instantly moves a soft groan coming from her lips.
my eyes widen knowing she's now awake. i jump up out of bed and run to the bathroom closing the door and locking it. it was just in the moment. i panic worrying that she might have felt the kiss. i know it's not that big of a deal. it's just a kiss on the forehead. but we have a past and i don't wanna make it weird.
i take a deep breath. get your shit together.
i walk out to see danny on her phone smiling. i laugh. "did bae text?"
she chuckles "as if" she jumps up on the bed smiling "they kissed!!" she jumps around excitedly. me and dan always loved to read books online. we shared an account, and whenever we find a good book we would put it in a book list. any kind of book we'd think the other would like.
"yesss i've been waiting 29 chapters for this shit and it's finally here!!" she jumps excitingly i chuckle at how adorable she is when she's excited. "what book" i ask as a i take off my shirt to get dressed. she throws her phone down on her bed getting off. "i put it in the profile. you'll find it" she says as she takes off her shorts trying to find some cloths.
"where's your parents?"
"at work as usual"
she rolls her eyes. her sister left early this year to travel around the world. and her parents have to go to Alaska considering they have this big chain of restaurants all around Alaska. so they go there every 2 weeks and they stay for 3 weeks your probably thinking its easier just to live down there but they want her to graduate from the same school they graduated from. she's been kind of depressed since her sister left. but i have to reassure her she's coming back.
i stare at her tan thick thighs as she try's to find pants to wear. i smile and look away. she gets the pants on and goes into the closet closing the door. she's never taken her shirt off in front of me. i don't push her to though.
"ok so" she steps out in her normal tie die nothing new. "let's go to breakfast and then we can go around town and shop" i smile getting my phone and walking out.
i love these days.
